Oh My Goodness the people at this place are AMAZING!!! We went to Harris County Shelter (not a great experience there), Montgomery County Shelter (they didn't have any cats), Conroe Shelter (they only had 4), then tried here (they had SO MANY!) And what was so great was you could tell how loved & well taken care of these cats are!!! They were expecting pets & rubs, the keepers knew their personalities & told us about each one & how or why they had their name. We just showed up between 10am-2pm. You go to the back door, there is a sign on the front door telling you to. Shut the gate before you enter to ensure all kitties won't escape 😁 Then you will be in kitty wonderland, to hopefully find your bestest new fur baby friend!!!

The people here are kind. I adopted a cat from them with the willingness to care fully for a new fur child. Oliver appeared healthy to me, I was told he was 2 or 3 years old most likely. They told me his story of a college student dumping him on them “temporarily” turning into a year… I figured he just needed his shots updated and he was going to be fine. I took the risk and adopted him. I do feel as though I was decepted as to his current health and his papers were not included on purpose. It seems odd to not have papers on the cat if you interacted with the person leaving him in your care. I do not recommend this place based on the cleanliness, lack of transparency, and lack of veterinary care. While I think the ladies here do care I also don’t feel comfortable recommending this to ANYBODY. The shelters do more for your animals beforehand and include all information so you know what you’re getting into.

I love animals but unfortunately I can't have one of my own. I volunteered over there for one month. The staff were really nice, but the owner was mean and bitter which makes me quite.... Other then that it's a residential place. Beverly lives there with all the cats in her house it's pretty dirty and messy but the staff takes good care of the cats there.

My 90 yr old mom adopted a cat from the county that was too young and too rambunctious for her. I was actually allowed to do a “cat swap” here, so now mom has the most lovable, gentle sweetheart as a companion! The owner was so helpful and concerned that mom got a cat that was a good fit for her, so Keanu is now Mom’s “favorite child” and Darryl had the chance to be adopted by the owner he so deserved. I am beyond grateful to Adopt A Cat, Inc. for working with mom and me, and I remain impressed by the level of care and love they show to their cats. If your world gets difficult and hard, you should go there and pet some kitty cats, consider leaving a donation for them, and WHO KNOWS, maybe fall in feline love.

Fostering to adopt this sweet girl. She was brought to the shelter by a construction crew who untangled her from some plastic she was stuck in. The shelter only had her for a few days if I remember correctly, but they put the life back into her. She is fitting in quite well for her first day at her new home. She doesn’t mind the older dogs or our other cat at all. I haven’t introduced the youngest dog yet since he just wants to “play”, and I don’t want her overwhelmed. She mainly just wants to follow me around and climb on my shoulders lol. I trimmed her nails first with no problems, and gave her a bath, she didn’t like it much at first, but calmed down after a minute or so and let me clean her up. Then I gave her some wet food that she really enjoyed and now she is just sleeping on my chest while I relax in the recliner. Over the next week or so I’m keeping her separate from the others so she can settle in and I can slowly introduce her more to each dog little by little. This shelter is doing so much for these cats. They are life savers for these cats, literally! Any donations will help! Towels, blankets, litter, food, ANYTHING really. Money obviously is a necessity as well to keep this non profit going, 1,5,10,20 dollars helps. People like this need funding to keep doing the wonderful work that they are doing.

Lots of cats! I got 2 one year old cats that are sweeties. They are not caged so they have human interaction and are used to a house. The cats are all spayed/neutered with a rabies shot before they are released for adoption so the adoption fee is a bargain. All are litter box trained. These cats were quick to settle in since they were a little older. I had gone to get kittens but this worked out way better.
