Description Best Friends in Houston works collaboratively with local shelters, local animal welfare organizations and passionate individuals to save the lives of shelter pets at risk in Houston and the surrounding areas. To guide this work and help Houston become a no-kill city for cats and dogs, Best Friends launched the Coalition to Save Houston’s Pets in April of 2018 followed by a Community Cat Program, foster programs for dogs and cats, local adoption programs and an out of state transport program. Best Friends in Houston is a 100% foster based organization. All pets live in foster homes and adoptions are by appointment only. The adoptions process will start by submitting a meet-and-greet request.

Such a great place!! They’re absolutely so nice and helpful. They care so much about the sweet animals there. I adopted Gabriel, my cute kitten now named Dimple here exactly a month ago and I’m so so happy! Definitely recommend. Love the experience I had along with my family. Dimple is living his best life 💚

Got my baby back in October when he was only 2(or 3) months old. First picture was when he first came home, second and third picture are of him currently. He’s such a playful and curious cat. I got really lucky with. He’s not a mean cat at all, he lets kids play with him

Best Friends Animal Society defrauds the public and misappropriates donor and tax payer money. I’ve seen it happen the my own eyes and heard the lies with my own ears. They hurt more animals and people than any group I know and I consider them the biggest back yard breeder in the US. When their donors start figuring them out, they will need to move to the moon to hide from the mob. No one likes their heart taken advantage of and their money used for a SCAM. They are the biggest CON in animal rescue history.

such an amazing facility full of people who truly care about animals! i adopted moose and maui, now named timmie and suki, almost three weeks ago. i was sent home with a little care package and tons of instructions and resources for these babies. they are doing wonderfully :).
