Description RPM saves the lives of Houston’s homeless pets by transporting them to their 2nd chance at life. The first of its kind transport program moves at-risk, shelter animals in danger of euthanasia to safety, focusing primarily on BARC, the City of Houston’s Animal Shelter. Once in foster family care, health replenishment begins until medically cleared for transport to one of RPM’s rescue partners in nationwide communities with a need for adoptable pets. With community-driven donations, short-term fostering, and sponsored support, RPM has saved tens of thousands of lives. Please note that RPM is not a shelter, is unable to offer intake for found or surrendered pets, and does not host local adoptions. For ways to help and resources, visit our site
I went for an interview. They didn't hire me. But I thought alot of what they're trying to do for the animals. They had a wonderful facility and seemed to care deeply. If I had the money, I would donate to them
I’ve been fostering for RPM since 2016 , over 400 dogs , they are simply the best! Everyone at RPM is sincere and truly love dogs. Thank you RPM! Here’s to 400 more dogs ❤️❤️
My experience fostering for RPM has been very positive. They are responsive and helped me pick out a dog to foster for my apartment living. It’s awesome what this organization does and I’d encourage anybody that can help out by either fostering, donating or volunteering in any way.
I’ve been fostering and volunteering with RPM for a few months now. Few things bring me greater joy in the midst of a pandemic than helping transport 100s of dogs per week to find their forever homes out of Texas. The pet overpopulation in Houston is atrocious and RPM is doing a valiant job of saving lives and giving these animals a second chance. Adopt don’t shop. Fostering saves lives.
Fostering for RPM has been awesome! They were very nice and polite.
I have volunteered with RPM for years. They have saved thousands of dogs and cats from city and county shelters that are so overcrowded that many would have been euthanized. RPM partners with rescues in states that don't have the dismal stray pet situation that we have in Houston
