If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would. The representatives at this location have been more than helpful on the adoption process! My dog and I were looking for another furry friend to live with us and we finally found the one. We are so happy and glad we came to this location ❤️.
I have both fostered and adopted from k9 and I can’t speak highly enough about this rescue! They are so great and care so much! They take time to ensure the best fit for all the dogs they rescue. I would only ever foster through k9 too because they make it so easy!! Highly recommend!
This rescue is amazing! Everyone is so nice and caring. They do amazing work helping so many dogs here in Houston. We adopted our dog from this rescue, and had a great experience. They do a great job at making sure the dogs go to good homes. They do ask for vet records and a lot of information but it’s with good intentions. Christine is super sweet, she was the main person we talked to and was there the day we finalized the adoption. Thank you so much K-9 Angels Rescue !
My husband and I would like to take a moment to thank everyone at K-9 Angels Rescue for completing our home with Charlie, aka Charlie Girl, or Sweet Thing! Charlie is a wonderful addition to our family along with our other fur babies, Sophia (Boxer/Lab Mix), Winchester (Black Mouth Cur Mix) and Binx (Tuxedo cat). She is acclimating so well with all her siblings and we could not be happier! She loves to play with the other pups and she also loves when she gets some alone time to play with Mr. Binx! She will soon learn how to swim and go for walks (once she has all of her shots) but for now she has everyone running around trying to keep up with her! Our Sweet Thing is full of personality, likes to show Winchester who is boss, playful, lovable, and last but not least, super feisty, just like her Momma. :) Without K-9 Angels Rescue and all the fabulous volunteers, we would not have had the opportunity of bringing Charlie home and countless other dogs would not have this opportunity either. I also wanted to give a huge shout out to Charlie’s foster Mom, Shauna, for doing such a great job with training and loving her like she did and still does. She is a great puppy because of everyone’s efforts! Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts! And finally, here are some pictures of our Charlie girl loving life her first day in her forever home!
Applied for a dog that was newly added to their shelter. Have the perfect set up and loving home with around the clock care and was "denied" for what was presumably being "first time" dog owners. I say denied loosely because we never heard back. After reading more reviews, I understand why people say not to waste your time.
I just adopted my new puppy from K-9! Prior to that, I was a foster to 2 rescue dogs that also found loving homes. For most dogs, it’s a very competitive process. I recommend you follow the Facebook group and turn on notifications so you see the adoptable dogs as soon as they’re posted. My pup was only up for a few hours before I snagged him. Complete the online application and send an email with your vet records. Sending an email is very important if you want your application to be noticed. After, you’ll schedule an appointment with the coordinator to meet the dog at the adoption center. If it’s a good fit, you’ll be able to take home the dog then. The process was very simple and the team was very friendly. Personally, I thought the fees were very reasonable. I paid $275 for my little puppy which includes all vaccinations and neutering. I’ve seen puppies at other rescues go for double or even triple that.
