Short story: Vet wrongly diagnosed my dog with a heart murmur at our 1st visit. I brought my dog Charlie to Care Pet - Hodges in February 2024 to get his rabies shot. We had just moved to the area and I chose Care Pet because they had an average of 4 star reviews on Google. When the veterinarian entered the room he didn’t introduce himself to me and began examining my dog (I only learned of the vets name from my receipt to Care Pet.) After listening to his heart for a few moments he told me “he has a heart murmur, check back in a few months” and left the room. I ended up asking all my questions to the vet tech, some of my questions she couldn’t answer and she went beck to ask the vet. She would come back to the lobby and relay the answers. A decent vet would’ve stuck around for me to ask my questions or at least come back to speak with me once the vet tech had to go track him down. I was distraught for the rest of the day, and called my vet in Georgia who had taken care of my dog his whole life. Ended up making a trip to Georgia for his yearly appointment where my vet informed me he DOES NOT have a heart murmur. She was appalled and asked for the name of the facility and vet. Vet Kiran Kantimahanthi wrongly diagnosed my dog with a heart murmur, caused me a lot of distress, and has absolutely no bedside manner.

I love everything about this Vet clinic! Everyone there is so nice and caring. They always address my pet by name and care for them like they would their own. Easy to get an appointment affordable and one of the few places you can still stay with your pet during the visit. 10 Stars!!!

We brought our VERY PREGNANT little girl Nova to you thinking we might have a stuck puppy, however as luck turns out, Dr. Mizesko sprang into action and did an x-ray and discovered there was not an emergency - she was simply in labor and just needed a little help (i.e. Oxytocin) - after we got home, within 10 minutes, Titan, the first born, arrived, followed by Bill, Colt and Jet. (born on the first day of NFL preseason 2023)! We just want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us put our minds at ease and helping Nova!

Logan was awesome! Went above and beyond, she even checked to make sure my pup didn't have blood in her urine before I wasted $ on a urine analysis!

After 2 years of seeing my now 10 year old Golden Retreiver's health decline, Dr. K. has gotten Manny's health and energy back. His weight is perfect now. Dr. K. and staff are knowledgeable and caring.

Friendly staff members who adore every animal that comes through the door. I highly recommend the annual preventative care package for dogs and 6-month for cats. We rescued a feral, near-death kitten last year, and with the 6-month package with neutering, it helped with the cost of ear mites and fleas treatment and all the lab tests. It's still pricey but certainly more cost-effective than paying for each care separately. The vet is seemingly knowledgeable and caring and we have not been disappointed.
