Is a great program for owned and stray pets. My experience with them had all been positive. Let's us know that there is hope for loose animals around Jacksonville.
Long wait, a lot of miss information when making calls to report a stray, but in the end everything worked out and dogs owner was located. Something really needs to be done in JAX about the process of stray and dumped animals. It simply is not the finders responsibility to care for an animal if they are not capable to do so especially with an aggressive animal. Animal control is a flat out joke when calling them. I am glad my issue was resolved but it shouldn't be this complicated.
All of the kennel area was still loud cause some of the bigger dogs give off real aggressive energy .. however I like the way they are putting dogs at the front entrance when you first come in that you can play with ohmgee fell in love with this beautiful husky fluffy doggie mix breed but he had heart works and was under 3 yrs old .. im sure he is gone by now but he was gorgeous now I had to take away the five star I was going to leave them and go down to four only because they want you to check in when you come in to this location which is fine but at least mak sure the system isn't glitchy I had to start over like three times due to the system redirecting me but yeah love this location out of them all tbh and I usednto volunteer and the veterinarian part so this location always has a special place in my heart cus they really do care and love these fur babies
My son and I took the bus there and checked out the dogs and visited with one and the guy who helped us was very helpful and knowledgeable. It took some time for the dog to warm to us and you can either adopt right then or do a 2week sleepover to see how the dog works out at your home. It is a process so be patient. Plus it's very rewarding to find your new best friend! Just sign paperwork and bring a leash. Save a pet!!!
They let me adopt a cat with seizures that were not disclosed to me. After a day after adopting my cat had multiple seizures and had to be taken to the emergency vet. There is no way they did not know about these seizures after being there for a few weeks. They “went through” her medical history with us at right before adopting her and these seizures were left out. Either they were lying or failed to examine her properly.
Went there for your Halloween thing. It didn't have anything that was shown on my phone. Very disappointed.
