My boyfriend and I are looking into getting a cat soon, but we're both first time cat owners. We visited because we wanted to meet some cats and have the opportunity to hang out of them. Most of the cats are pretty mellow and just want you to give them some scritches. 🥰 At the time there were also some cute little kittens up for adoption that were so chill. I was so tempted to put an application in, but we need to still figure out what we're getting into! We also had some drinks and the kitty cocktail was rather cheap and yummy. I had it without alcohol and enjoyed the cherries.
This cat cafe allows you to bring drinks and food in. A couple of cats did try to steal our food or was intrigued, so keep your eyes on your food. There is a small lot in the area but easier to find street parking. Street parking in the area is 2 hours max. There are special days where this cat cafe is cheaper to visit. Full admission price is still relatively low compared to other cat cafes across the US. There isn't much seating inside. When I was there , there was only 3 other people, 2 of them left after 20 minutes. Smells wise, it has a slight cat litter box smell. The gift shop has a lot of cute cat theme items. You can visit gift shop and not go to cat cafe. The workers here are friendly.
Cat Cafe! What a great concept. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Milwaukee Sip & Pur Cat Cafe! I would break this location into two areas; one for the store and one area for the leisure cat play. The environment was warm and welcoming. It was clean, and you could hardly smell any scent of cats or cat litter. You must have an appointment to visit with the animals, but you're welcome to have a hot beverage and shop at the cute store. While we were there, I saw a few people who walked by that wanted to come in, and they were denied time with the cats. The website is easy to navigate and very user-friendly to book your cat session. You can book different types of cat visits or just a typical 45-minute session. The staff was polite and knowledgeable. Pricing was OK. Parking was decent, offering some metered lot and street parking nearby.
I had an amazing experience, the cat pool is so cute and has so many different personalities and even cat breeds! The cat shop is also very cute with great gifts/cat supplies that you can access even without paying for the cat lobby. It’s also great that you can take the drinks into the cat lobby and can use their cat toys to entertain the cats. Don’t listen to the people that left negative reviews - they may not have comprehension skills, and I feel bad for the workers that have to deal with them. All policies are clearly listed everywhere and you have to consent to them. As a cat person myself, it makes total sense why there’s a limitation to how many people may be in the lobby at once, and not only does it benefit the cats but it benefits your experience as you can actually get alone time with many cats in a small group. Secondly, I would pay any price if the money is going towards the cats and whoever is taking care of them. If you love cats, this is the place to go!
Highly recommend!! My bf & I had the BEST time here. We went on half price Wednesday, so the hour was only $5 each instead of $10, but we would've gladly paid more. The cats were adorable, hilarious, sweet and playful. The owner, obviously passionate about cat care & adoption, told us of her international travel to bring cats in need back to the US in search of better homes. It was very inspiring. Even though we weren't able to adopt any cats (we don't like in Milwaukee & the two cats we have at home would've been unhappy to say the least), we shopped their fun & adorable selection of merchandise. The sparkling blackberry lemonade is had was delicious as well.
I love coming here on my breaks in between classes at a local university. The cats are peaceful, and the workers very friendly. If I remember correctly, all but two “house” cats are adoptable. I really admire Sip & Purr’s advocacy for international animal rescue, I follow their Facebook and they’re super informative. The bakery items are nice and the gift shop is even sweeter- I love to pick up my cat treats every time I visit. Lots of fun, quirky animal - related gifts as well. Check this place out if you love cats!
