Description Saving lives since 1994, Happy Endings is one of the oldest and largest no-kill cat shelters in Milwaukee, WI. We focus on promoting the health, rehabilitation and placement of cats into loving "furever" homes and educational/communal outreach. Our shelter allows cats a second chance. Our volunteers take time and a special approach with each, understanding their needs and what home they'd be best suited for. Our "Socialization Sponsors" program allows individuals to work with our cats on a daily basis, helping to build trust and restore the loving bond between cat and human. We offer a secure and and loving environment for our cats until they're ready to take the next step in their journey via adoption or fostering into loving homes.

Got my kitty as a companion for my lonely kitten who was taken away from his siblings too early. The staff is SO nice, and they truly love every cat who comes into their shelter and are very attentive to their needs. They even provide medical attention for any sick or injured cats which is far more than most shelters can say they provide. Yes, MADAC will give a free kitten to anyone who walks in the door, but Happy endings makes sure the homes they go to are safe and well equipped to care for them, so honestly the adoption fee is worth it because they do put a lot of money and time into all their cats.
We had a great experience adopting our new cat Trudy. The staff was great and very informative and made the whole process easy. We would highly recommend going here if you're looking to add a friend to your family.
Really like this place and the person who runs it (Kristy I think) is super sweet. This place also takes donations!
We have the purrfect addition to our family. The short waiting period with their honesty about the cats makes forever homes possible.
A family member of mine recently got a pair of cats from Happy Endings and it's very clear how much everyone working and volunteering here cares for these cats. His new pals are very well socialized and had the confidence to start exploring their new home right away and soon playing, instead of running and hiding (which is what I would expect from any cat in a new environment and I don't think that's negative if a cat needs time to warm up, it's just very impressive how secure and confident these cats were, thanks, I'm sure, to the love and support they were given here)
Lovely people, but they didn't tell us everything about our cats.
