Description Since 1893, the Milwaukee Rescue Mission (MRM) has served men, women and children who are homeless, hungry and in need, helping them restore their lives and renew their HOPE. MRM meets basic needs (meals, shelter and clothing) and offers transformative programs that equip individuals in crisis to make lasting change in their lives—including education, addiction recovery support, job training and spiritual direction. We provide at-risk children with a quality education through our K4-12th grade school, Cross Trainers Academy, and equip families in need with resources to achieve stability through our community programs. At MRM, we address the root causes behind homelessness—offering help in the present in order to give hope for the future.

I always donate my gently used or new clothes to the Milwaukee Rescue Mission. I know that they are going to people who really need them. Plus everyone is always so nice when I drop off my donation. If you are thinking about donating, don't hesitate.
This place is the worst, they force their beliefs on you and if you don't understand the bible they will kick you out, if you want real help go to the Milwaukee guest house.
Don't read the negative stuff you read about this place. It is very clean, the showers are hot and clean, and the food is good and the chow hall is clean. They don't take your stuff away, you get a big locker, and the staff and other residents are pretty cool. Thank God for a nice safe place to rest your head if your in need. Respect them they respect you.
The downtown Milwaukee mission in particular “Lexi” has gone out of her way to not include minorities in particular African Americans to serve during the holidays. She did not inform me of the time deadline to which I was to call on the day of. I had been calling for over two months. When I called the day of she responded by saying to late. Many black citizens in Milwaukee are trying to show that we care. This mission location has gone out of their way not to include African Americans to serve during special times of the year. We will be informing the local news channels along with the Milwaukee journal. After speaking with management I was given excuse after excuse to why we can not serve the less fortunate. We called in the day that we were told to call. When we did call we were told too late and donating our time was not an option.
Truly helping our entire community and those least fortunate through real actions and deeds. Doesn’t matter who you are, if they have a bed available they will take you in. Great resource providing shelter, education, clothing, food and spiritual guidance for newly released inmates with no place to go, domestic abuse victims and their children, substance addicts, homeless and anyone else in need of love and light in their lives.
Amazing organization that offers vital resources to those in need — food, shelter and clothing — but more importantly, offers dignity, encouragement and hope! Very kind and dedicated staff who go the extra mile to help, well-equipped and clean facility, tasty food... and the love of Jesus around every corner. So thankful for the good work MRM is doing in our community!
