Description At the Wisconsin Humane Society Milwaukee Campus, the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center provides care for roughly 5,000 injured, sick, and orphaned wild animals of over 150 different species annually. Our goal is to rescue, rehabilitate and return them to the wild. In addition to helping animals at our wildlife hospital, we also offer advice from our wildlife reception desk to people who have concerns about injured, sick, or orphaned wild animals throughout our state and even outside of Wisconsin!

I want to thank the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Milwaukee (Human Society) for helping me with a juvenile squirrel that fell from a tree. These folks are top notch. They processed the animal promptly, immediately began a treatment plan, and were not only thoroughly professional, but kind. They also are going to keep me updated on the animal as time permits. Ariel and her team deserve special kudos. The work you do is so important!!

I had a hawk that was injured in my yard. The ladies here were so helpful in how to catch the hawk, how to keep the hawk safe in a container I had for it and getting it to them to care for it. Thank you so much, I could not have done it without you. 🥰

Called them about an injured blue Jay and they were very responsive in getting attention to that bird. Did not have to wait and the person who attended to us was very pleasant and respectful. They said they would contact us to give us an update on the Blu Jay we brought in and when healthy would be released in the area we found it. That was very comforting to know.

My heart broke after seeing a possum get struck and killed by a speeding car in our neighborhood, but shattered even more when I found live young joeys in her pouch. Not knowing what to do, I called the Rehab Center for guidance and they went above and beyond my expectations. I have no doubt anymore that the babies will make a remarkable recovery in the hands of the wonderful staff in the Wildlife Division. Will certainly be donating for life, and I hope others consider doing the same!

Lovely people working their butts off to rehabilitate wildlife with a smile. I’m proud that we have this service in my hometown - it is a blessing that many places around the world do not have. Be kind to them and donate if you are able!
