All the staff and volunteers were very helpful and friendly. We were able to adopt our new kitten the same day of meeting him, and the staff made sure to set us up for success by providing vet recommendations, a bag of cat food, and a free litter sample. He has been doing great in our home so far!
If I can give this place ZERO stars I would. My name is Norma and we surrender our Nala that was only 6yrs old to this cruel place. If I would have known that they would have been so cruel I would have NEVER in my life Surrendered her. I surrendered Nala because her owner Rebecca asked me to take her because she was diagnosed with Cancer and was not 💯 able to attend her, but she did research and seen that this place makes people do so much to get an animal from their facility, so she figured that this place will find her a perfect home with a great family. When she was surrendered the staff where not only verbally informed, but we also wrote it down on the paper that they gave us that if they are unable to find Nala a home to contact us and we will pick her up. Two phone numbers where provided mines and the owner, but mind you only the owner got (1) call and they where so cruel that they couldn’t try at least one more time to get someone live on the phone to let them know but instead on June 5th they called once and that was good enough. Please know that since she is going through chemo she wasn’t able to listen to the call until a few days later, but by then it was too late. The call went like this (We are unable to put Nala up for adoption due to her having gum disease and we also found a tumor that you have till tomorrow morning at 10am to call back or we will proceed with human Euthanasia - in other words they where going to kill her or put her to sleep - it’s all the same thing). This place should have tried again because they where clearly informed to contact us that we would pick her up…we love Nala and we would have did anything to help her. We thought taking her here was the best thing, but it actually turned into a nightmare. They are heartless and after this we’ve come to learn that they don’t care for the animals. If you can find a home for your pet I beg of you to please do so just so you never have to experience this pain we’ve experienced with them. They are so wrong and we will live with this regret of surrendering her to this place for the rest of our lives.
I'd like to give a special credit to Olivia who went above and beyond in helping us with an adoption today. What an amazing representative for the Humane Society. Thank you for your patience and answering the million and one questions well past your time and helping us with bringing Nova home.
Me and my fiance went to adopt a dog for our family and ended up waiting for over 3 hours (being next in line for almost 2 hours), and got nothing we just left after hours of frustration. This place needs to do a better job of respecting people's time, and being staffed appropriately.
If you are looking for that place, where to find a pet or to have your pet serviced, look no further… You have come to the right place, the staff here are very professional, with love and passion in playing the role of your career. In the same way, the volunteer staff are excellent. I tell you that I came to this place and I was delighted to see the service they provide. And even more so when I walk down the hall seeing the pets for adoption, well cared for, just like being at home. It is also worth noting the hygiene of the place, and the attention they provide. And I could give you free food for the member of my house, so you have no excuse to leave him without eating. Come and take a walk around here.
Working with the foster department is just a pleasure. Very caring, flexible, and professional.
