Description Our mission is to be a voice for captive exotic birds and to promote unity within the avian community. We work to fulfill our mission by providing a safe haven for abused or unwanted exotic birds (regardless of species, age, special needs or behavior issues), re-socializing and rehoming eligible companion parrots, and providing educational resources to the avian community.

This Sanctuary is awesome because the owners are awesome! It is the Sanctuary i have chosen to care for my Flock if i cross over before they do, and i will be leaving a sizeable portion of my estate to them to care for the birds in perpetuity. Haven't been to see it in person yet, though i may attempt to do that next month. I have known the owners for a decade, and their philosophy is to adopt my Flock or protect them in place if there is no one who wants them. May all generations before and from the owners and the owners be blessed for their kindness to my Flock and for providing after-my-life care to my Beloveds! 😇🙏🏾💖
This is an animal rescue preserve for parrots and other exotic birds. Most folks don't realize that parrots have very long lifespans 10-80 years.
If you’re looking for a bird to add to your family and are in FL please go see birds of paradise. The coordinators were extremely knowledgeable and patient with me. All the birds here are so lovely and full of personality. I finally decided on a green ring neck and I am absolutely full of love and so happy I was able to give him his forever home.
Donated a lovebird and cage, given a tour and felt Great about going there. It was clean and all the 4 aviary’s! and indoor birds had FRESH fruit and food. Owners Love shows everywhere.
Debbie was a pleasure. After seeing. Jewels and fell in love with her. I adopted her. She is loving. And very. Talkative.
I had to take two budgies there tearfully that I developed breathing issues with, from owning them. I spent 3 months talking singing abs playing sift music to. But they were unhappy. We think they missed their friends. We bought from a pet shop. We never ever do this And regretted it. They were terrified of coming out if their huge cage nevertheless We tried and tried. Picking them up was out of the question. They started to need to fly and one started getting angry with the other. It was distressing to see. They knew my voice and responded but not enough To get them to trust me to touch or coax them out of the cage. Then i started having to use my inhaler a lot.’ We kept that cage immaculate. Even so. We were guided to Birds of Paradise that was an amazing sanctuary for all sorts of birds. I was assured they would end up in a big aviary with lots of friends again. And live out the rest of their lives Happily there. I donated and will donate in future. The parrots were incredible too. They rely on donations. If you are a bird lover please please donate. They are by appointment only to go there. It’s a relief to know they will be somewhere safe and happy.
