We offer Urgent Care and Emergency veterinary services 24 hours beginning Thursday morning 7am through Tuesday morning at 7am. Common emergency situations include difficulty or stopped breathing, gum or tongue discoloration, open wounds, excessive bleeding, seizures, collapse, swelling of the face and more. Took our Biewer Terrier there on April 28. The care she received and communication my wife and I received were EXCELLENT. The techs and Dr. Kercher were great. I know emergency pet treatment can be expensive, but we were told and kept apprised of options and costs throughout the visit. In the end, the diagnosis appears to have been correct and Lily has gotten better and is back to her yorkie-like self.

They were friendly and professional. They took great care of my doggie, Lizzy. The doctor explained everything thoroughly. They made me feel calm, even though I was scared for my baby. They were also helpful with the payment. Amazing place!

Really surprised by the reviews listed. This is by far one of the BEST animal hospitals in the area. We’ve brought 2 Great Danes, 1 cat and 1 rescue collie mix over the last 2 years, for emergencies. When it rains it pours.. Bloat, Cancer, Spleen rupture. At every turn the staff was amazing. Rudy the tech is an absolute angel, both the Dr’s we’ve had have gone above and beyond, and the front desk staff is actually very nice. They have saved every one of our animals and treated us with kindness and respect while doing so. They actually care about the family, the financial burden and the animal—they take the whole package into consideration and treat you with decency and excellent bedside manner. If you’re faced with an emergency, you’ll be in good hands here. Good to know: they don’t have the same equipment as BluePearl (no one in the area really does besides specialty docs, which doesn’t help in an emergency during the evening or weekend). If you’ll need a CT or something more advanced, it'll be beneficial to assess which ER is going to be the best fit. Both practices have been great with us.

Animal ER of university park is an amazing emergency care for dogs and cats. they were very friendly, amazingly adroit at identifying causes during an emergency and likely saved our dogs life. we are extremely grateful for the staff, techs and doctors of Animal ER.

Our dog sitter had to take our dog in on a Sunday afternoon while we were out of town. Before examining our dog they called us to get her history and find out any needed info. After examining our dog, the vet called us, explained everything, gave us our options, and then treated her as we discussed. They also e-mailed us the notes from the exam and follow up care and instructions. The vet and the entire staff were excellent and went above and beyond to treat out dog as well as ease our minds. I would give them 10 stars if that were an option!!

The team was super compassionate and caring. Provided thorough and ongoing support and information throughout the two day ordeal. I’m fortunate to have had them nearby on a late Saturday night!
