Description The Animal Eye Institute excels at the diagnosis, surgery, and medical treatment of eye disorders for companion animals (dogs and cats), large animals (horses, llamas, cattle), exotic and pocket pets. Most procedures are possible to perform on an out-patient basis.
Ooh My God I was so happy and thrilled to have found this place. I drove 12 hours to get there ,because of the fantastic price they had for cataract surgery for my 12-year-old Mini pen ,had not it been for them. I would not have been able to afford to get my dog's eyes fixed the doctor , and her two assistants, are the very best. My dog was walking around wagging her tail with great eyesight hours. After the surgery, she is no longer bumping into items. She and I are so thrilled. Couldn't be more pleased would highly recommend this place to everyone
The Animal Eye Institute and Dr. Korb are truly incredible! A couple of months ago, we found out that our one year old husky was rapidly going blind due to congenital cataracts. After combing the internet for the best provider to help, we took her to AEI in Charleston. The staff and Dr. Korb were VERY kind, compassionate and accommodating. They explained our options and made the surgery a breeze. Our little pup can see perfectly again, thanks to this amazing team. We are incredibly grateful and can’t recommend them highly enough.
I knew my little dog was struggling with mobility but I had no idea he was totally blind. Everything makes perfect sense now. I’m so relieved to know what’s happening with him so I can make accommodations to make his life easier & safer. Everyone at Animal Eye Institute was amazing & took great care of Francis.
I have been taking my Service Dog Kate to Dr. Korb at the Animal Eye Institute for the past two years for the ACVO National Service Animal Eye Exam. This year she found a Uveal Cyst in her eye that I would have never known she had if I would not have taken her for the annual exam. I would recommend her to anyone who needs veterinarian ophthalmology care for their pup/feline.
My little girl came down with cataracts that were developing rather quickly. I called the Institute and was offered an appointment later that afternoon. Since I live three hours away, that wasn’t possible. But I did take her to her first appointment two days later. We scheduled her surgery for two weeks out. She had the surgery and I took her back yesterday for her two week check up. Everything looks great! The cone is off her head which makes her very happy! She is no longer running into the back of my legs or missing her treats or not being able to get her toys. Her eyesight is perfect and eyes look perfect! I cannot say enough good things about the Animal Eye institute, Dr. Korb, and the staff. Everybody was so caring, concerned, empathetic, helpful, informative, friendly, professional, and had the expertise to make my little girls eyes perfect again! Like I said, I drove three hours each way to get this done. There were other places closer to me, but I had gotten good recommendations about the Animal Eye institute of Charleston and I wanted the best for my dog. It was more than worth the time and trouble to get my little Bella’s eyesight back! The only negative thing I could think of is that Dr. Korb follows the wrong NFL football team from Ohio. Go Browns!
Excellent experience. Huge thanks to Dr. Christina Korb and all the staff here for saving our beloved Husky's vision. Would recommend this place to anyone.
