Very friendly staff and a good selection of cats and kittens. They even were friendly to my 3 and 4 yr old sons and had no problem with them walking around petting and holding the kittens. Will recommend everyone to them

I’m looking for some kittens/cats to adopt. But after looking through these reviews idk lol I sure hope this Carolyn person is no longer there. And if she is I hope she got her mind right. Bc I won’t be nearly as nice as some of these others lol I’ll be back with an update 😂

If there was an option for zero stars I would choose that. I called about an abandoned newborn kitten I found. Looking for some direction of who might could take it in as far as a rescue. The lady I spoke with, Carolyn, was condescending from the start, when I got upset with her attitude and told her nevermind, I’d figure it out, she snapped back that she didn’t know what I’m expected from her. I hung up and went about trying to find an organization that wanted to help. I then received more than 10 text messages from this lady harassing me, essentially saying that I was the problem. I told her this was unprofessional, even for a volunteer and to please stop contacting me and she informed me this is not a business, and she didn’t too much care if I felt that way. They need to update their google settings because it lists Pretty Kitty as “adoption” in the page title on Google’s results. However, I will say in my attempt to report my issue, Missy, another volunteer found me a bottle foster. (Missy gets 5 ⭐️!!) So it’s obvious not everyone has the same attitude toward the volunteer position, but Carolyn will ruin the reputation of the people trying to do any good in the Jackson area.

This organization works tirelessly to end the overwhelming number of needlessly suffering cats (and dogs too). I began supporting Pretty Kitty TNR about two years ago and continue to be impressed by their persistent efforts to raise money for the medical care of sick and injured cats and dogs, trapping and transporting cats for spaying/neutering, and seeking shelter if people can be found to foster the cats. Pretty Kitty has helped me find shelter for rescued cats and kittens, helped guide me in learning to trap and have cats fixed, advised me when trying to help sick kittens, and lent me a great deal of assistance in boarding, adoption preparation and facilitation. This organization is a real boon to Mississippi, which shamefully is number 47 in animal protection (per Animal Legal Defense Fund study in 2020), but I am hopeful that thanks to Pretty Kitty and their untiring efforts this state will improve and help make our communities better places to live for all.
