This is our sweet Lark that we adopted a year ago. She is so much fun and company for us during the pandemic. We appreciate Safe Place and Happy Cats Haven for all they do to give pets a second chance.

Rescues are becoming too hard to adopt a pet from. You have to pass The Spanish Inquisition, for a ",rescue",,, getting free dogs from various places and selling them for hundreds of dollars after you jump through numerous hoops.sounds like a great business idea. I have been told before even considering any particular dog to adopt that it had to be love at first sight or no adoption would happen. If you have any serious knowledge of canine psychology the chances of that are very very rare. Pit bulls also make up a huge portion of their collection, realize the pits don't end up in rescue because they are super wonderful. You bet you'll sign a waiver if liability for the rescue. So no rescues aren't very good at all...I do not recommend any of them except the HSPPR.

I had to find a place for Nana's cat after she passed away, and I was driving back and forth home to Colorado for about a month. Carol was great to take Dixie and help with paperwork over the phone cuz I didn't have access to a computer to fill out the paperwork.

I highly recommend Safe Place for Pets! We adopted our senior cat from them in 2015 after his original owner passed away, and I'm so glad that SP4P was there to take care of him and help him find a loving new home. Their adoption process was very straightforward, we got the chance to meet our kitty on-site and to take him home for a trial period to see if we got along... we formally adopted him a week later and he's been a much-loved part of our family ever since (still going strong at age 17)! They are a wonderful resource for bereaved families and pets in need of new owners, and I cannot thank them enough for all they do. 10/10, would 100% adopt from them again in future.

Great if you're looking for a cat to adopt! It was quiet so the cats did not appear stressed. I was bringing my deceased neighbor's cat in and i felt comfortable bringing her there.

When my husband passed away, I rehomed two cats here. They were so helpful, and even came and picked up the cats. The cats were well taken care of, we visited them several times, and were adopted after a few months. It was so comforting to know his cats were cared for so well.
