First time using the humane society for a vet appointment. We usually use our own vet; however, they wanted $400 for a feline neuter and others wanted anything from $300-$600. The humane society could do it for $90. They then offered to do all shots too for a total of $180 Well worth it and much economically friendly. The staff were friendly and the facility clean and modern.
I found a super friendly lost dog on the road with no tags, so I called and the phone operator was great, the directions and information all great, kind helpful everything I needed. Well I get there I don’t have a leash on the dog I have a two year old and people are helping me with the doors, so the three of us made our way in, the dogs curious sniffing the lady working went into straight panic mode and treated us like crap immediately. She ruined the whole experience for me multiple times with her condescending attitude towards me, she was just beyond inconsiderate of my situation or circumstance of never going through this process before or how heavy the dog was with her 2 foot leash she gave me, overall she just could have treated me like a human but she treated me worse than a stray dog. She seemed to be the manager too, luckily another lady hopped in to help me and was pretty cool to me and thanked me for bringing him in. Disappointing and frustrating experience when people are just trying to do good in the world but then there are people like this who ruin it all for some. When your a leader you put yourself in others shoes she didn’t even blink an eye to what I was dealing with, but I did with her I knew I messed up not having a leash but I don’t own a dog so I apologized. I’ll definitely do it again but it may steer others a little less likely to help a fellow loose animal so I wanted to share my experience.
Meet Zoe! I’ve never had a connection like this with an animal. I got her just yesterday and already she follows me everywhere, waits by the door to greet me when I come home from work or school and cuddles up with me at night. I couldn’t ask for a sassier and sweeter companion. She’s an old girl but she’s very playful and even when she gets feisty with her claws she’s carful not to bite or scratch too hard. Such a verbal little kitty. All and all, I’m so grateful for the companionship the humane society has blessed me with. Y’all are angels, Zoe is my best friend ❤️
Made the difficult choice of spaying my beloved 7 year old border collie after not being able to find a suitable mate for her as originally planned. The folks working at this clinic were fantastic right off the bat & are first class veterinarians, better than many expensive vets I’ve experienced. When you consider their cause and the cost of the procedure (even with the additional charge for mandatory blood work due to her being an older doggo), it’s a no brainer. She’s now 8 days out from surgery and doing great with a precise incision and neatly done stitches. Relieved doesn’t quite express my feelings, many thanks to the whole crew! If you don’t want a litter of pups to care for, get your dog fixed!!
After being stalked and having my identity stolen, my fiance, cat and I ended up homeless. Someone at the shelter had my cat picked up by the Humane Society. The Humane Society is the best, very friendly and even helped me out with food for my cat! Much love and many thanks!
My cat Goblin had been missing for almost a year. A kind person trapped him and brought into the humane society and scanned him for a microchip. Fortunately, we had him chipped when we adopted him as a feral kitten. The Humane society contacted us immediately. What an incredible story he has to tell, if only he could talk...
