This is an animal rescue, not a pet store or a try first-then-buy store. I have adopted through this rescue many times as well as volunteered with them. They are doing a much needed service for animals that not a lot of people do these days but should. Maybe you should figure out what type of animal and what kind of personality best suites your household before actually taking an animal home. Adopting an animal is supposed to be a rescue, you adapt to the animal and the animal adapts to you. Re-homing an animal multiple times is more than stressful for the animal, it can loose trust and become isolate. Not to mention this is a life we're talking about here. And further... why would you "get a lawyer involved" over this? At most you may have paid 100$ for the cat, you did take it home did you not? Even though clearly you didn't deserve it. Maybe consider exactly what you're doing before you venture into animal adoption again, it may just not be for you. Sincerely, A concerned Reader Btw... My family and I adopted a cat from Petco. Come to find out it technically came from this "pet project co". After giving it a while, we realized the cat was not a good fit for our family. So, we tried to return her to pet projects owner "denise". It took us forever to get her to take her back, after having to call her repeatedly over 2 weeks, and her avoiding meeting us to take her back. Finally, we cornered her and she took tge cat back and "promised" she would mail us our return in a check. Needless to say we have received nothing after months have passed. This adoption center is deceitful. There owner is a liar, and a theif. I plan to get a lawyer involved. Beware!!!!
