I am so glad to have a rehab here locally that truly cares about wildlife. I was able to take them the first set of baby raccoons to their facility. I have taken dozens of squirrels to them, and they always are willing to accept, and help the babies. My first baby squirrel I took them I did all the wrong things Google advised to do, I am glad they educated me so I won't make that mistake again. Thank you for all the endless hours you put in, and the hard work that often goes unappreciated. I appreciate you, and your dedication..

A tiny baby squirrel was abandoned right outside our house. We were incredibly worried for it and didn’t know how to help it. Rocky Mountain Wild Heart was the ONLY wildlife rescue who properly coached us on how to give it the best chance of a rescue by its mother, then promptly took it in to raise and care for when the mother did not return. We delivered the baby, and they asked for nothing in return. My husband and I were so touched to meet such kind selfless people. We ended up donating and purchasing supplies from their Amazon list. What a wonderful establishment and cause!

Definitely would not recommend. We found a baby squirrel and were referred here because the baby was so small. I reached out after trying to reunite the baby with mom with no avail and was asked to transport the baby to Colorado Springs or Fort Collins from Brighton. I was not able to do that and they asked if I could meet someone in Castle Rock. Again, I was unable to do that as these locations are more than an hour's drive away from me. I told the person I was talking to that I would try to locate a rescue closer to me since it was so far. At 10:30pm I got a message asking if someone could come pick the baby squirrel up in the morning as they couldn't that night and I said yes as long as it was still there and alive they could come retrieve the baby. I had relocated the baby squirrel into a tree house that was next to the squirrel nest in hopes the baby was seen by them. At 10:30pm I went to check on it and wrap it in a towel as it was getting cooler and drizzling a little. I was told by the person to put it on a heating pad or a sock with rice. I let them know that I wrapped the baby in a towel and heard nothing else. This morning I checked and the baby was gone and texted again stating that either mom or something got the baby and they wouldn't need to come out and thanked them for their efforts. I was then chewed out by the person texting me saying that the baby was taken by a predator and that I just "let the baby die" and to never contact the organization again because I wasted their efforts because they spent hours trying to find someone to get the baby squirrel. I never asked them to do that. I even told them I would try to find someone closer. I spent the whole weekend trying to reunite the baby with its mom and worrying and trying to help just to be treated so nasty. To be so so mean to someone when they were just trying to reach out for assistance is so awful and I truly cannot believe this service as someone who is supposed to be helping animals. Such a disheartening and frankly disgusting experience.

These people work extremely hard 24/7 all year long, especially when all the babies are being born. This is not a huge corporate facility with tons of people on stand by. They are feeding babies every 2-4 hours with many mouths to feed. Please give them time to respond. Also please consider donations and adding them to your King Sooper community rewards program. They do a tremendous service to our area!!

Absolutely the best place to take many different kinds of wildlife that is injured or needs help. They take in so many squirrels & raccoons & give them all their love & work hard to release them back in the wild. An amazing non profit that goes above and beyond to help the animals.

They are awesome. If you ever have wildlife that needs help, don't feed or give water, keep warm, and call Rocky Mountain Wildheart! They even have a transport team that goes above and beyond to transport animals to them from even cities away. If you are in CO and need help with wildlife, give them a call or message their fb page! And if they can't help, they may be able to help find you someone who can.
