My Sister in law and I went to get my elderly parents a new cat. The cat we chose was a surrender cat and has the best temperment for an elderly couple. Have to say the people were very helpful. Molly has been the best thing for my parents.

I am so happy with Tyler Animal Shelter and so happy to have my Luna... I'm sorry but after posting this and going back and reading the reviews, when did people get so cynical these people are working hard to keep these babies safe and fed and off the streets so what if they have a bad attitude everyone has an off day. If you're going to write a bad review at least state how many, one out of five? I mean come on people you come across one bad apple so everyone there is bad give me a break.

My senior dog wandered out of our yard and was found by Tyler animal control. He is blind and deaf, normally terrified of new surroundings and people. When I picked him up, however, he was calm and happy. They were so kind, to us both. We are very fortunate to have such caring people.

The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable! The facility is spotless, wow!I Really enjoyed my visit!

Didn't see the kennels, but the staff were almost mute. Asked to see a specific dog, and she was brought out, but getting any information was as bad as hunting for hens teeth. Nothing was volunteered and most questions were answered with "we don't know". I could understand if this were a stray pickup, but it was an owner surrender! If they didn't get info, they should have. And they (he) might try smiling instead of making you feel unwelcome. I hope the animals are treated better.

So we unfortunately had to leave our Sheppard there..we had had so many complications trying to keep him where he couldn't escape and it didn't work. So I went to pay my fee to leave him there and all I got were nasty stares from the people that work there. They don't know what our situation was oh but they were quick to judge. Really?...
