Rascal and I visited Rose City animal clinic for the first time yesterday. He needed a refill on a medication he takes. Rascal was as impressed as I was. First impressions, The facility is clean and does not smell like a vet clinic. Rascal didn't try to turn around to leave. They are open Saturdays and Sundays which is a big plus. I chose them based on the number of people recommending them on Facebook. They were very timely and we were moved to a room timely. Dr. Seth and his assistant were a pleasure to meet. He was very pleasant, present, and thorough. No need to look further. We found our home.

my puppy had parvo and we brought him to the vet on a friday. They said that he will have to be hospitalized and isolated from other puppies for about a week. we got updates on saturday but on Sunday no one would answer the phone. it was also easter but my dog was in critical condition and there should have been someone to answer the phone. They called me on monday and said that he passed and i went to pick him up. they are a good business only thing is the communication. it stresses me out when i need to know how my dog is doing and no one answers but other then that the vets and front desk people were very nice.

The front desk are incompetent and don't care about your dog. Don't try going there after spending thousands in a few years if you have an emergency. Don't drop your dog off to so called dog techs. Be ready for the sales pitch from so call unlicensed tech before vet comes in. Your dog is just another dollar to be made. Because of influx of new people moving in. It's just the fast food service of veterans clinics. The end of personal care for your pup. The vets are good vets. Just to much about in and out as many as they can. Only someone in veterans school should touch your pet besides the vet. At least that's their future. No teenagers or so called tech will ever touch my pup. She really suffered from pain and hopefully it clears up soon. After 4 days. She finally ate some soup and water. Spread shots out is a good lesson too. Especially for small pups or animals. I love my dog more than anyone or anything. She looks to me to protect her. You know exactly what I mean. So lessons learned. I'm looking for the old times vet now. That does it all. He could charge double and I'm OK. Long as someone not a vet or student of vet medicine ever touches my pet.

Although we loved the vets and vet techs, the staff who work the front desks and answer the phones are indifferent and uncaring. After the third unsuccessful phone call, I left a message on the website. I never received a call to try to straighten it out. The issues were due to incorrect information being entered in the system. The business, perhaps, grew too fast and the customer service component is missing. We have moved to a more caring clinic with a welcoming front staff.

Dr Shirey has been my vet for years. He's knowledgeable, kind, very caring and is a wonderful vet. His staff are excellent, and the other Dr's are fantastic. If you care about your pets, you can't go wrong here. They will care for your pets as if they were their own!

Rose city animal clinic is SO amazing. Dr. Calhoun is an animal whisperer. She and her techs have been great with my cat who HATES the vet and my other two dogs. From emergency epilepsy episodes to wellness visits they can do it all. Thank you Dr. Calhoun and techs!
