I took my furbaby in for her annual physical, and prevention care. I was highly disappointed with the overall visit. In my opinion, Dr. Embry lacked passion and interest while caring for my furbaby. After I pointed out a nodule under my furbaby's abdomen, I was told it was a lipoma, nothing I should be concerned about. I wasn't offered an xray or bloodwork. I then explained my dog wasnt running anymore and displayed weakness in her hind legs. After the physical exam was complete, my furbaby was diagnosed with arthritis. He said, "I can definitely feel some arthritis in this back leg." I was told both my areas of concern weren't anything to worry about, as they were common in senior dogs. In my furbaby's case, I would soon find out this couldn't have been further from the truth. After being prescribed arthritis and allergy medicine, I remember telling Dr.Embry's vet tech how displeased I was with the service I'd received prior to leaving. To add insult to injury, I received an email approximately 1 week later telling me it was time to renew my dog's heartworm treatment. How was this overlooked during my visit? After a couple months my furbaby's condition continued to decline so I got a second opinion. Little did I know I would walk into the vet with my furbaby, but I wouldn't leave with her. She had Lymphoma. The cancer had riddled her lymph nodes, internal organs, hind legs and throat. If only she'd been properly diagnosed I would have been able to provide her with comfort care and a peaceful transition. I pray this review will be seen by Dr. Embry in hopes to encourage him to always be kinder than necessary and always offer to go that extra mile.

My dogs are small, indoor animals that are 8 years old. I took them to this vet a year ago for their annual rabies shot because our previous vet had retired. $380 later, the only good news after that was I was told that the new rabies shot was good for 3 years. Great! He also advised the flea and tick pill, Brevecto, which we got at $70+ each. One dose lasts 3 months. One of my dogs, according to him, has an allergy to fleas. Ok. I gave her the dose and she quit scratching. I have given her 1 more dose 3 months later but none during winter. She started scratching again and I went back to get another couple of doses for both dogs since you have to get this flea product from a vet and the vet has had to see the the dog prior. I was told that since I hadnt had my dogs in for a year, I would need to bring them in for a check up before they would sell me a flea pill. Used to, once a year vet visits for a rabies shot was standard, but now the rabies shot is good for 3 years. My dogs are healthy. No reason to spend 100s of dollars to be told that. I wanted a flea pill. I was fixing to spend $150 on 2 doses of Brevecto but the girl at the desk said nope, not unless you spend much more money with us so we can tell you how healthy your little muggers are. I wont go back.

Dr. Embry saved our boy Max. After going to an emergency vet twice and still he was suffering, we called Dr. Embry for help. His staff was kind and Dr. Embry took the time to figure out what was wrong. Max had swallowed something that was stuck and required emergency surgery. If not for Dr. Embry, we would have lost our boy. Thank you so much!!

This has been our dogs vet for several years. One of my elderly dogs is terminal and in a lot of pain. Due to not having the funds for a few days, he refused to release her pain until I could pay him. I don't have words for someone willing to extend the pain of a living creature. It is shameful and merciless.

Enjoy the staff here and the doctor is always patient to explain things thoroughly to you and doesn’t make you feel rushed at all. Also appreciate the wide range of hours to make sure you can get your babies taken care.

We absolutely love this vet clinic. Dr. Embry and his staff are all so caring and professional. Our little dog, Lady, has had three surgeries performed by Dr. Embry and each time she has done so well! We appreciate the reasonable fees, caring staff, and professional expertise of Embry Animal Clinic.
