Love this place. Everyone was so nice. I walked in was live at first sight with my kitten. I love that they socialize the animal's. It took no time at all to introduce my baby to her new siblings. I highly recommend getting your for ever pet here😻
Went here to adopt Freddy after seeing him on the local news. Very wonderful, friendly people work here and the place is nice and clean and welcoming. I'm so happy to be taking Freddy home soon to meet my kitty cat, Simon. I think they'll be really good buddies! Brought Freddy home to meet Simon and there was some hissing at first...but since then, everything is going purrfectly (haha)! They even both sleep belly up!
I would not go to this place. I looked online and seen a puppy I was interested in. So I completed the application. I got a phone call the day after. They told me to send pictures of my fence. I didn't receive any conformation confirming the pictures of the fence. So I called them the next day(Saturday) . I was told they would have to review it and will call me back on Monday at 10 o'clock. Today is Saturday, yes a full week without communication from them. They did not call me back. They never reached out. I Called them today. I was told to they'll call me back in 5 minutes. I finally get a call back. Just for them to tell me I couldn't adopt a pet because of a dent in the fence(on a corner near a gate). Which literally took them less than 5 minutes to review. They could have called me on Monday to tell me the bad news. I explained to her that the first few months, I will be Potty training them with a leash. But apparently that's not good enough. She explained that the dog could jump on it and run off. Now thinking about it, a dog will always find a way out! Even if the fence was 110% secure. I've had dogs before, if you know you know! The older guy may need to retire, cause he seems to have a hard time understanding whats going on. The lady who looked at the photos was condescending. It's a shame that it's so hard to get a pet. Especially since people say adopt don't shop. These poor dogs are still ready to be adopted. Sadly do to humans and their ridiculous judgments and poor communication skills, has cause them not to be adopted. I wish I can show the picture of the fence to paint a better picture and the show how ridiculous her reasoning was. But I've seen reviews as well and realize it's probably safe to go elsewhere. Update April 25, 2024: I went to another pet adoption place on the 22th of April and have adopted a puppy terrier mix. The adoption took about an hour. They didn't care about the fence! Nor does the puppy go over there! My review still stands. CONS Adoption process time Condescending Employees No communication skills Poor judgment Pros The Pets One out of 5 stars 🌟
Was so disappointed in this place. Saw a puppy on website. Did an application waiting almost two weeks. Dog still there. Called and was told they had to find my application. Would call me back. Waited another hour called them back. Was told they needed a picture of my fenced in yard. No problem. Sent the a picture of it. Also asked about my 4 year old and my 16 month old. They have been around dogs before. Asked about the puppy and was told that puppy was supposed to be picked up on Friday. So we was there bright and early in Sat to look at some of the other litter. Puppy we wanted was still there so we asked to visit with that puppy. When we got to pen to play that puppy wanted adult attention and the lady(Mary) said they wanted to see how they interacted with the kids. The 4year old has autism and when I mentioned that it was an immediate change in attitude and then was told that there was other applications on that dog and they pick the best one for the dog. I feel like because my child was a special need child we got shunned and turn down. So very disappointed in this place. No harm would have come to that puppy. It would have been loved like one of my children
I emailed this "rescue" and begged them to take this stray dog that showed up at my in law's house, now she's injured and blind in one eye. I've contacted a dozen shelters but they're all full. Absolutely disgusted that this rescue doesn't reply or offer any assistance. I've tried so hard to find her a home and now I suppose I'll have to put her down myself because that's a better alternative to getting run over or being a homeless, hungry, injured dog. I hope they're satisfied with themselves.
I have the "best dog ever", Sophie (AKA Sweet Pea). I adopted her from Pets Fur People. We are in our 13th year together. She is 15 years old - we are growing old together. I love what Pets Fur People does for the animals in East Texas. I support their mission.
