In the past I have generally had a fine experience at Animal Care Unlimited - I felt it was a bit pricey, but that I got good care and advice for my two lop rabbits. However, I had a really bad experience when I had to put the older rabbit down last week. I requested an emergency appointment because my rabbit was hardly moving, and I was grateful they could see me at 6pm the same evening. At the start of the exam I was told that the analysis and decisions would need to be made quickly since they close at 7pm. I ordered an X-ray and was then hastily told that Chester had to be put down immediately. I asked if I could say goodbye, and they rushed me into the back room to stick my head into an incubator while they called out doses of euthanasia to be prepped right over me. The vet stood behind me and waited with the meds while Chester cowered in the corner. I understood going in to the appointment that my rabbit was aging, these things happen, and it might be time, but the hastiness and complete lack of bedside manner left me reeling. I did not entirely understand what the emergency was, given Chester had been surviving all day in this state. I felt he surely had 5 more minutes to be held and given a loving goodbye. I was out the door by 6:33pm. Glad the staff got to dinner on time. I will be going to a vet that let's me hold my pet next time (which I hear is common practice).

I cannot say enough good things about ACU. I had a sick bearded dragon and they were able to get me in the same day. The prices are AMAZING and the staff is not only friendly but extremely knowledgeable and goes above and beyond. Iām so glad I found this practice.

This place is amazing. They were able to get us in on short notice for an emergency situation regarding our ferret ghost š» I appreciated everything so much. Our regular vet was out of town and they stepped in and saved the day. Thank you so much!

I visited Animal Care Unlimited three times for my pet rat, and every time I was more impressed than before with these guys. I so wish I could remember my vets name, but he was so fantastic, and they handled my rat and his problems so well. The price for the care was affordable, too. I always felt like they just had me and my rat at heart. One of the most primo vets I've ever been to.

I took my bearded dragon in for some respiratory issues, the staff was friendly and you could tell they cared about their customers and their patients. Dr. Jamie was knowledgeable and I could tell she was used to handling reptiles. If you're looking for a vet office for exotics or even non exotics, definitely give this office a call.
