We have adopted multiple times from Heidi’s Legacy, and each time has been a great experience. They put the effort into ensuring not only are you a potentially good fit for a dog, but that the dog could also be a good fit for you. The adoption process has always been multi-staged, with meet and greets, and in home visits, giving all involved the best chance at a successful adoption, and the pups really finding their forever home. Whenever we adopt, or whenever someone we know is looking, HL will always be the first rescue we recommend.

We couldn’t be happier with our newest member of our family and the adoption process from Heidi’s legacy! Kelly and Kerry worked closely with us through the entire process. We were able to go to Bo’s foster home to meet him and his foster family. My wife and 2 kids were able to all meet and hang out with him to make sure he was a good fit. A few days later he was able to to our home and make sure he got a long with our cats and my parents dogs who visit frequently. We were happy everyone got a long, but it gave us the opportunity to make sure. Everyone with Heidi’s legacy is so friendly and you can tell they all care for the well being of the animals. They provided me with all of his medical records. He is up to date on vaccinations, and they had him neutered and micro chipped.

This was such an amazing and exciting experience for our family. We lost our wonderful dog, Bailey, weeks before I started looking to adopt/foster. We were so sad not having a dog in the home. I found Heidi's Legacy and I saw two dogs that were so cute and had the sweetest faces, and I wanted to adopt, instead of using a breeder or a pet store that get their dogs from puppy mills. There are many dogs in shelters that need loving homes. I sent in an application and was thrilled when I was contacted. Kerry was wonderful and so informative, she answered all my questions and was lovely to talk to. She said they had a few dogs coming in from a shelter that needed to be fostered. And we jumped at the chance to give one of these dogs a home. We picked up "Dimples" and brought her home and fell in love with her right away. We adopted her two weeks after having her. Adopting from this rescue was a great experience with so many great people doing different jobs. We would highly recommend this rescue to anyone looking to foster or adopt a new pet.

We signed up to foster with the rescue and had the most wonderful experience. Kerry helped us through the process and was so responsive and helpful. We ended up failing, in the best way possible, and adopted our foster pup. That transition process was also so easy. I love how detailed they are in finding great homes for these pups!

I came across Heidi’s Legacy Dog rescue as was looking to my get my dog adopted due to increased traveling and time constraints to keep up with the commitment. Kerry took the time to walk me through what the whole process entailed and kept me abreast of potential candidates and timeline after my dog was put on the site. Within two months my dog has found the perfect home with a great family after trials with the owner’s dogs and family. I miss her but so glad that she is with a family who will love her just as much as I did. Thanks again to Kerry for such a great experience.

Had a great experience! Volunteer staff member Kerry was VERY responsive, attentive, clear and communicative. She helped us navigate the adoption process with ease and comfort. We are thrilled with our new family member DewDrop, now referred to as Pepper :) He is a great addition to our family and canine pack!
