The worst experience so far! I had reached out to this organization asking for help as there is very pregnant female cat that we rescued on our property. As there is a kitten season now, we are willing to foster the mom and babies until they are old enough for spaying/neutering and adoption. I emailed crusaders and had Teresa getting back to me. The rudest and most disrespectful person i have ever spoken to! Ahe told me right of the back that they WILL terminate the pregnancy as there are too many kittens to deal with! I do get it- there IS a big problem with the stray cat population and some people are eager to kill them and the unborn kittens rather than doing what they are signed up for- helping to find them a home!! She may not be wrong to suggest the termination, but there is a WAY to talk about it in a respectful and empathetic manner- the two qualities she absolutely does not have. To think that someone so rude and unprofessional would be a point of contact for the organization, is very upsetting. She better fits to work at the slaughterhouse rather than an animal rescue. After speaking to her, I feel very disappointed that people like her. I actually involved in so-called animal rescue. Shame on Cat Crusaders. I would not recommend them to anyone. A message to the owner- i did volunteer for the shelters in the past and did foster cats and kittens. I DO know how hard it is to dedicate time and resources, i did see how overcrowded and underfunded they were. I have seen the abused and mistreated animals. You may have all the excuses for Terese to act without any empathy or professionalism, and maybe this is the moto of your organization?… But i do find it VERY strange and suspicious that she would rather kill the unborn kittens than except my help with fostering them and the mother cat for as long as it had to beans asuming the food, litter and etc. I WAS very clear about that! So i hold to my fact- she is THE cruelest, unprofessional, and rudest person i have ever spoke to. If your heart is not in what you do-it’s time to get out!

I’m shocked by the 1 star reviews about Terese. I never had any issues emailing her or talking to any volunteers in person when I met the kitties. Anyways, I adopted the sweetest girl who was clearly well loved! The foster mom was so kind and I was happy to talk with her. The volunteers are helpful. Thank you!

I want to personally thank everyone at Cat Crusaders for their patience and understanding throughout our adoption process. Like many adopter everywhere I was frustrated and Terese was just wonderful and took the time to explain all the processes. Finally the stars aligned and this week and we finalized our adoption of “Juju Bee.” She was just meant to be ours. She is the happiest kitten we’ve ever seen! From the moment we touch her she purrs to the moment she falls asleep. She is the sweetest little thing and has us smiling all day long. We must give credit to her foster parents who did a remarkable job socializing her. Everyone at Cat Crusaders was professional, friendly, and helpful. We would definitely recommend Cat Crusaders to anyone looking to adopt a new cat or kitten. They do everything feasible to ensure your new family member is happy and healthy — vaccinations, testing for FeLV and FIV, spay/neuter, deworming, and applying flea and tick medicine. These services and far exceed the very reasonable adoption fee. We are so grateful and now realize that the bumpy ride to adoption was God making sure we and JuJu Bee found each other. We would definitely adopt again from Cat Crusaders! Sincerely, Kimberly and Mark

Terese has a very rude and questionable approach for adoption. She told me I wasn't fit because I left my previous cat with my Mom 10 years ago when I relocated to Florida from out of state. What a croc! I saw all the previous 1 star reviews and decided to give this place a chance anyway because my daughter and husband were excited about a cat they posted on pet finder. People seem to complain about the same thing. Might want to listen and tighten that up. Your judgement is very flawed Terese.

We adopted our Pickles (Charming at the time of adoption) 2 weeks ago. Terese was fun to talk to and explained our options for our orange tabby since we were the first people to see them when posted on the website. Be aware there are many cats that are "bonded" meaning they have to go with their partners, so if you fall in love with one you have to take them both. Honestly having 2 kittens is easier than 1 because they play with one another. Pickles was added to our family after we adopted another kitten through a family that couldn't care for one. Since our adoption they're getting along just like brothers! Thanks to Terese and the team for helping us find our sweet Pickles!

Talked to Terese today, and she asked about letting a cat outside, which I said sure. This ended the conversation. She didn't even give me a chance to talk about being on my screened in porches with the cat, or taking it for a leashed walk, if it was interested in that. Just straight up ended the conversation by saying no, they won't adopt. Didn't elaborate on anything. I get the sense she cares about the cats, but expects everyone to have the same understand of her questions intent that she does. No Terese, I don't plan on letting the cat run wild outside and interact with strays, other animals, or allow them to wreak havoc on other wildlife, but we didn't even get to that part.
