We are so grateful to Maxx and Me Pet Rescue! We have recently adopted an English Cream Golden Retriever from their rescue, and he's a perfect fit for our little family! The whole adoption process was professional and smooth. This agency truly cares about their dogs and they ensure each one goes to the right family. There are several steps in order to be considered, but this just shows that they are a good organization. On that same note, it's so impressive that they're 100% volunteer based! Thanks for all that you do! (On a side note, it seems like most of the negative reviews are from people who haven't met the minimum requirements for adoption. These requirements are here for a REASON- to make sure the dog has the best life possible.)

My family adopted Axel from Maxx and Me in 2019. We fell in love with him right when we started fostering him. Axel suddenly passed away yesterday due to a structural heart issue we were unaware of. He was only 6, but he lived such a wonderful life. He was a gentle giant and gave everyone “hugs”. He loved walks and car rides and had so much energy, but was also so relaxed. He would let people lay on him and hug him and he loved sitting on people, he clearly thought of himself as a lap dog. His favorite treat, funny enough, was not a type of meat treat, but rather, celery. He loved celery so much which you can see in one of the photos. Axel was my cuddle buddy and he is still so loved by his humans and his doggy pal, Sky. Although he was only with us for 2 1/2 years, he was such a wonderful dog, and we are forever grateful for the time we had with him. Thank you Maxx and Me, for giving us the most amazing gift, a dogs love. We love you Axel❤️

Maxx and me rehomed my mother’s two dogs after her stroke because one of my dogs would not accept them in our home after many weeks of trying. It was heart-wrenching to have to give them up, but it was made more bearable by the kind, empathetic, and compassionate folks in this organization. They kept us informed throughout the process and relocated the dogs to fabulous new homes. I highly recommend this organization.

Reecie and Fergie are living their best lives traveling with us in our motorhome seeing the country. All because Maxx & Me went to extraordinary effort to ensure this mother and son duo were adopted as a bonded pair. They have never been separated since we adopted almost 2 years ago. We are forever grateful to this rescue for their diligence in making sure the animals are the very best fit in their fur-ever homes. Highly recommend them.

Amazing rescue. Luckily, I didn't read the negative reviews until after we adopted our new fur buddy - when I decided to write this review. Every single poor review is obviously from a person who was butt hurt that they didn't read the website info properly or weren't the right match for a particular dog. The first volunteer we spoke with, the foster parents who were taking care of our soon to be family addition, and Courtney (who overlooked everything and made sure we were the right match) were all fantastic in every way. They were all upfront with the special needs our new guy would have and explained all the info they needed from us before finding out if we would be selected for an adoption. The website clearly states that this is a PROCESS and that dogs are at various foster homes - not an actual shelter, that these are all volunteers, that you need to show proof of vet records for current pets, and some dogs have special conditions (eg no kids, needs meds, requires other dogs, etc). I didn't read a single negative review that had any merit. This rescue is awesome, the volunteers are awesome, Courtney is awesome, and the pups they are trying to save are awesome! Thank you.

Very dedicated Foster org, goes above and beyond for the dogs. The people who have left 1 star reviews likely didn’t qualify on their applications as the rescue has high standards to ensure the best (forever) fit for its dogs. I’ve been a foster and volunteer for years with M&M and will continue to work with these dedicated bunch of dog lovers. If you don’t hear a response on your application its because they have the dogs interest above anything else. People need to realize the entire staff are volunteers, doing rescue in their free time, so to have some consideration when talking about not receiving a “timely” response. If not for organizations like this, these dogs would not be here at the end of the day.
