Went in search of a better dog food for my fur baby... Science Diet for dogs with digestive issues. I was so excited to see the different options I had in small tiny bites due to the fact that my baby will not eat unless tiny... So many options. I feel so grateful PetSmart they had so many options... and the bag I got was cheaper by $20 than I have been able to find it anywhere else. The cashier were had was the best at her job... so pleasant and so informative. Wish had gotten her name!!

Ankeny Petsmart Grooming- Really disappointing experience. The staff is not friendly to customers or their pets. Grooming is a stressful situation for any dog and their staff doesn’t do much to help calm them; either the staff isn’t trained on how to interact with dogs or just don’t care. My dog is very anxious and has only been to the groomer twice. I mentioned skipping the nail service to staff twice as it sets him off, and they proceeded to ‘try’ anyways, then complained that he is acting up. They mentioned they were not able to towel dry him and sent him home wet. I guess I would have hoped they would use a dryer while he is kenneled or atleast try. I paid for the whole service even though he only received a bath and came home wet. I feel bad for putting my poor buddy through a stressful situation with workers who don’t care about animals. Please don’t take your pet here!

I have been taking my dog in for grooming services at this location for a while now. You should always schedule grooming at least two weeks in advance. Double check their peek hours through Google maps. Be sure to give specific instructions during scheduling and reiterate those instructions when you go in for the appointment. Best to schedule online. Be sure to do the appointment confirmation and the e-check in. Always check their site for service coupons and use those at the register. You can also use your treat credits when checking out. Other than that, they get quite busy so you will need to expect them to have your furry friend for at least 3-4 hours.

this location used to be good but customer service is slipping lately. i had to stand in line at the register for ten minutes waiting to ask for live crickets, another ten minutes for the checker to call another associate to get them for me and, when she finally did, now there's a line of ten people waiting for service and the checker didnt even bother calling for another register, she just let us all stand there. eventually i gave up and just left without what i needed. i dont have all day 🙄

Large variety, clean store, clean aquariums. The staff at the Southside location (SE 14th St) is definitely the most attentive of the chain. If you have questions about a food or how to care for an animal PetSmart is definitely a good place to go.

Extremely friendly staff, very clean facilities. Did great with my baby, even though he doesn't like his nails trimmed. 10/10 would recommend.
