There are other groomers at APS but Liz is the only groomer I’ll let touch my puppies, she is absolutely the best. And with Dani, her assistant, bridging communications, it makes for an all around very positive experience every time. I only have them groomed by Liz when Dani is working. I’m very happy and would highly recommend.
Absolutely terrible experience. There’s a reason why they have you sign a waiver to shave your dog before them even seeing the fur. I thought all the photos were just “summer cuts” but apparently all they know to do is shave your dog down to nothing. We brush our bernedoodle every day and we were fully aware he had some matting going on. We came to a groomer in hopes to help with the matting and get our dog a trim and it was apparently necessary to take off all of his fur right at the start of winter. We are new to the are and are so beyond disappointed that the groomer thought this was acceptable when I explicitly told her I hope they do not shave him and would really like to keep it long if the could. Not to mention, they charge $60 PER HOUR. If you do not want your dog shaved, do not take them here. Not worth the price or the headache. Photos are of him before and after the grooming.
I took my dogs here for the first time and couldn't be happier!! The staff is amazing! My aussie is very timid but they were very patient with him. Both dogs look amazing and I will definitely be a repeat customer!
My Husky has been there once before and her nails actually looked amazing when she done. I was impressed with that because she is not good at getting her nails trimmed. Unfortunately she smelt awful after her “bath”. We had to re wash her at home. But we didn’t care because her nails were actually trimmed. So about a month later I made an apt for my husky and Golden and I got confirmation texts for them BOTH. So I brought them into their appointment and the lady at the desk told me that they never made an apt for husky, even though they confirmed it via call and via text. She was rude about it. And did not want to make it right. It is very upsetting. Just over all a disappointing experience because I heard such great things and got recommended to go there. However I would not recommend this groomer. They do not treat customers with respect.
I chose salty paw to board my dogs for a single night when my dog sitter cancelled. I had never boarded my dogs before, but my mom recommended it to me, as that’s where she goes for grooming and boarding. However, I had also heard that they changed ownership recently. Everything went smooth when I came in to talk about booking an appointment. I was told that drop off time was between 8-9 am Saturday and pick up would be 5-6 pm Sunday. I came in at 8:35 am Saturday. I brought along a bag with toys, their food bowls, and two bags of dog food already portioned out for them, I also explained that there was a bag of food for each dog. I asked to go in the back to see where they might be staying. When we got back there the rooms were extremely small (my boys are 30 pounds each and were to be sharing a room). If I had brought one of their beds with, it probably would have taken up a majority of the space they had, I would guess about 3 ft by 3 ft. The room was dirty and still needed cleaned when I saw which one they would be in. Fast forward to tonight: I showed up at 5:29 to pick up on Sunday. I was charged $140 for TWO days. Due to the specific drop off and pick up times, that means that unless you drop off and pick up your dogs on the same day, the minimum you will be charged is two days. This seems incredibly deceptive. I would understand if I had the option of picking my dogs up earlier, or if they charged a base 70$ overnight fee with an additional 35$ per night, but, given how the pricing was presented to me, I can’t help but feel lied to. When I picked up my dogs, I looked in my bag and there was still a ziplock of dog food. Meaning they had fed my dogs only a single cup of food split between each other. Again, I believe the business had just switched ownership, so I’m not sure if any of these things have to do with that, but my mom had mentioned not being pleased her first time back since the change. The staff themselves were nice and accommodating. Needless to say, I will not be coming back, and I would caution other dog owners to look for another location. Grooming could be a different experience, but boarding my dogs at salty paw is definitely something I regret.
Our dogs were kept and they were happy to see us. but not as much as we expected. My girl, kitty was looking for treats in our truck and Ronan, just was laying almost pouting. I believe they had a good time and liked being with other new friends. We'll absolutely use them again! 👍
