Description Cathedral Dog & Cat Hospital has been continuously serving Manhattan's Upper Westside since the early 1950's. We only see for dogs and cats. Dr. Fierman has been the directing veterinarian since 1977. At Cathedral Dog & Cat Hospital we have always endeavored to offer the best care and personal service, all in an intimate, friendly, family-type practice. At Cathedral Dog & Cat Hospital we offer out-patient, medical, preventive, diagnostic, surgical and dental services. Our appointment times are geared to accommodate Manhattanites' busy schedules; thus, we offer weekend, weekday and evening appointments. A 24 hour answering service is always available should you need immediate consultation any time, day or night.

I'd like to thank Dr Fierman and Sylvia for their amazingly, beautiful and gentle hearts while taking care of our beloved son, Illusion. Dr Fierman wasn't his vet for a long time but from the first visit, he showed how compassionate, sweet and knowledgeable he is when it comes to well being of out fur babies. He took great care of him and did his best to make sure he gets well. We just lost our Illusion, on the 17th of January and I just received a call from Dr Fierman with condolences. It goes to show how carrying, full of humanity and love he really is. I truly appreciate it and it warms my heart to know he cares. Thank you Dr Fierman and Sylvia. You are the best! ❤️🐕

They’ve seen it all, and know when to nudge you to do a follow up check and when to be assured what we’re seeing is not something to worry about. Phenomenal vet, exactly what I was looking for all these years. Felt like my dog and I were treated like family. The exam was almost an hour long, the vet wanted to make sure he knows everything about my dog. Best vet experience hands down. If you're looking for an attentive family-like vet office, I highly recommend them.

Dr. Fireman and his assistant Sylvia run a lovely and trustworthy vet office. It's an old-school kind of place: one dr, one asst, paper records, personalized attention, you can reach the Dr after hours in an emergency. I have been to him a few times in the last months to neuter my cat and give vaccines. My cat and I were well taken care of and the prices are I think quite good for UWS. I will surely take my pets there as long as I live around here.
