Social Tees is absolutely amazing and a fantastic animal rescue to adopt your new pet! Their staff reviewed our adoption application quickly and thoroughly then made a recommendation for us to become a part of their foster to adopt program. As first time dog owners this was perfect for us and we received all the support we needed to foster our now dog for a week before officially welcoming her to our family! Social Tees staff were kind, knowledgeable, and available to ensure that our new dog was a great match for our family and that we were ready to welcome her to our home too. If you’re looking for an incredible foster or adoption experience then Social Tees is a great option in/around NYC!

We just adopted our second dog from Social Tees. The staff and volunteers are all great. They take such good care of their animals and are extremely responsive to prospective adopters. I highly recommend adopting a dog or cat from Social Tees, or fostering if you want to see what it's like to have a pet.

Social Tees found my dream dog, a 2 year old black mouth cur from Tennessee. I signed up to foster him and knew we were a match on the first night. I adopted him a few days later. Great experience. They put a lot of care and thoughtfulness into placing animals for adoption. If you want to rescue a dog or cat, this would be an excellent place to look. I could not be happier. Social Tees is amazing! We adopted our incredible pup Juniper from them in July and we could not be more impressed. They were very thorough in the application process and made sure we had plans in place for training and socialization before we brought her home. Their foster system is also fantastic. Juniper was very clearly well loved and socialized prior to our meeting her! My mother also adopted through Social Tees and her pup is equally amazing. We are very grateful for all the joy these pups have brought to our lives. Thank you Social Tees!

Social Tees Animal Rescue - one of the few non-profit, extremely well run no kill, foster rescue shelters in Manhattan. Their entire team is top notch, experienced, intelligent, friendly, passionate to the core for all animals and go above and beyond for you and their animal adoptees. Making sure they are well taken cared for, properly and thoroughly tested health/veterinarian wise. They have dogs of all ages, personalities and breeds. Cannot recommend S.T.A.R. enough. Highly recommend.

I recently adopted a 6 year old Jack Russell mixed breed from Social Tees, named Ling, and couldn't have had a better experience with the team. From their volunteers, to their foster fur parent David, everyone was amazing and responsive. From picking Ling up, to follow up, they were so hands on. I left the Social Tees fully informed and prepared to care for Ling and she is such a sweet girl. We love her so much and while she is learning to trust us (she was saved from a hoarder situation) she has brought my family so much happiness. THANK YOU SOCIAL TEES - for bringing Ling into our lives, and for saving so many. What you do is incredible.
