Description We are a nonprofit organization in the state of New York, We rescue animals in need through other organizations or help pet owners find placements for their animals in new homes. We are foster based and do not own a facility. Hours are 10-3pm mon-fri (24hrs for only emergencies) All fosters and adopters welcome to apply through our website! OUT OF STATE ADOPTERS AND FOSTERS WELCOMED! We offer in person meet greet, We have animals who are kid friendly as well. most of our animals are socialized with cats, dogs and good with kids. We are bilingual. English/Spanish/ASL (American sign language)

We recently adopted our puppy from Brixie’s rescue in June. I was blown away by how knowledgeable and how responsive the owners were to all our questions and concerns. They truly have so much heart for what they do and it is seen through how they care for the animals. They made sure we had all the information that we needed for a new puppy and kept in constant contact even after we brought our puppy home to make sure everything went smoothly. I am truly appreciative of how supportive the owners have been and we definitely made the right decision adopting from them!

We found Brixie's Rescue through a Puppy Yoga program in NYC. They are thorough in their adoption due diligence and take great care of the dogs overall. We adopted our lab/husky mix through Brixie and couldn't have asked for a more intelligent, beautiful, and empathetic dog. Brixie's is extremely unique and distinct amongst its peers; They continuously check in on the adopted dogs and even created a platform for owners of the same litter to stay in touch, thereby allowing the dogs to interact with their siblings well after they are adopted.

Very nice rescue! They are knowledgeable and supportive even after the adoption process, which we really appreciated because it was the first time for us having a puppy. Also they did a wonderful job raising the pups, our pup even knew to go on the wee wee pad when she came home with us at 9 weeks old. 5/5 recommend

My first foster experience was with Brixies Rescue in August 2023 and it was absolutely WONDERFUL! It broke my heart to let my angel foster pup go, but I was also overjoyed that she came into my life and found her forever home all in 1 week :’) This rescue is incredibly responsive, super down to earth and refreshingly human-centered in every way in terms of how they interact with and support fosters/adopters, and their deep love for animals can be seen and felt in everything they do. They are truly the loveliest people! I can’t wait to continue fostering with them (and potentially adopt my own rescue pup in the future!), and I’m excited to see all the ways this small but mighty rescue will continue to grow & flourish and change lives ❤️🐶

They were amazing at communicating and keeping us updated on our new puppy’s health. They have been easy to reach out to if we need help or just for a sweet little update. VERY responsive and a VERY fast acting rescue. Forever grateful for our little girl.
