Going to Small Door was the best vet experience I’ve ever had with any of my pets. It’s a relaxing environment and I have a 95lb American Akita who can get anxious. He absolutely adores Dr. Zhang! Everything was so smooth and they were so detailed and upfront about all of the costs as we are having him neutered there too. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. It’s awesome how we are able to have him neutered with the same veterinarian he already knows. I’d 100% recommend Small Door to anyone interested! The espresso was a plus!

I've gone to both the Upper West Side and West Village Small Doors and the hospitality is consistent across their various locations and goes unmatched compared to any other vet I've brought my animals to in the past. They host dog holiday parties and other activations that brings the community together and this is the only vet my dog is not anxious around. Will always recommend Small Door to friends and family.

We just relocated to NYC from out of state and were comparing all the vets in the area. We decided on small door vet because they are transparent with their prices and easy to schedule with. We just had our first visit and are very pleased with our selection! Our pup is very timid with vet visits and the staff did such an amazing job to make her comfortable. The lobby is inviting and helps lessen the stress on your pets. The way the design is laid out, it doesn't feel crowded at all and even with other pets in the lobby. They also offered us beverages while we waited (our pup included), which we have never had a vet do before! They were thorough in reviewing her files from our previous vet and went over every thing with us. We signed up for the Wellness+ package and the vet was transparent in telling us whether it was worth it or not. Dr. Chan was patient and understanding, she addressed all our needs and was super polite! Definitely recommend.

The best care we could imagine for our dog! I am so grateful for the chat services that come with being a member. It allows for me to quickly ask questions and receive quality care without paying a premium for every visit. We have struggled with some nuances with our dog and the team at Small Door has always taken the pressure off us and worked with us to find solutions. I am so grateful for the team who is so passionate about their work!

It’s taken me a while to write this review. I wanted to make sure my input and experience was accurate. I found this vet after my 4 year old cat Kenny ended up extremely ill out of no where, no signs of illness until down to his last few weeks. We have been to multiple vets that had misdiagnosed him over the past few years. We ended up having to put him down last summer. Small vet had made this as comfortable and private as possible for both my kitty and our family. The staff from the auto text nurses to the front desk, receptionist and Dr.s were all so supportive and empathetic. They sent our family a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a nice remembrance card and paw print. I have never had to put a fur baby down and not sure this is something every vet does but it certainly helped our mourning and felt as though everyone truly cares. We have two other cats, a 5 year old and a kitten 6 months. They both enjoy their visits and check ups. They get special treats and loving care. Hands down my best experience with a vet in NYC and we will continue to come back. Definitely recommended.

Love Small Door Vet for our new puppy. Everyone was very welcoming. Location was extremely cute. Even my Teddy was very comfortable with the Small Door staff. Definitely looking forward to our next visit.
