So many cats and well kept center. Spent an hour in the kitty room they were so cute. Ended up adopting but come here to donate, cuddle, and visit these sweet cats!

This facility saves the lives of many cats and kittens and gives them a forever home if they don't get adopted. If you adopt a cat from them and for some reason you are no longer able to care for them, they will take them back and let them stay as long as needed. This place is a very special place. We have adopted twice from them. And will most likely go back again when the time comes. They are always accepting donations to keep thei facility going. Consider donating something today. 😺

I got my cat, Shadow (formerly Mr. Mistoffelees) from here, and I couldn’t have picked a better place to adopt from! The staff do a great job taking care of the cats, and are always upfront and honest with the health and behavior of their cats. When I adopted Shadow, they allowed me to buy a carrier from them and also set me up with pet insurance. This saved me over $1000 in vet fees after my cat got gastroenteritis. If you’re a potential new cat owner, I’d recommend Hermitage. They’ll make your life easier and help you be prepared to adopt your future best friend! They also have lots of other resources available and you can visit at any time to spend time with the cats.

Got our kitty from there and she's been the best addition. We enjoy visiting the other cats at the shelter regularly

Such a disappointing experience at this shelter as we’d always heard about this place. We had done the necessary paperwork in advance and were approved. However, when we came for a visit and asked a few basic questions about the cats available and the adoption process the front desk lady was incredibly rude. She literally said with such a rude attitude “you don’t pick a cat, they pick you.” Their cats are all free roaming and it’s overwhelming to try and understand what cat might be a good fit for your household. They have collars to distinguish the cats which are barely visible in their fur. It was a terrible experience and we won’t ever be back.

The vets, other employees, and volunteers went so far out of their way to help me and my partner in adopting two cats with medical needs. They did way more than any over shelter would. We are so thankful and happy to say that our babies are doing wonderful in their forever home.
