I was a volunteer for fostering and raising money. Very chaotic and challenging with personalities and no business plans. No 501c-3. Tended to hoard dogs - 18-20 dogs in a small rental or trailer and dogs are hurt. They do care for dogs but I feel they are in over their heads. Emotionally driven to save dogs with no plans or the money to do what’s needed. I tried to offer advice and gave money but they just wanted to bring in dogs and place them in overcrowded foster homes that could be classified as hoarder homes. One home had ticks and dogs still placed there and the dogs were covered in ticks. Another home had a dog that killed dogs and dogs still placed there. The foster actually described how a dog in her care was found bleeding out onto her kitchen floor with urine and stool left from the terror of having her the dogs kill her. It was so stressful dealing with constant chaos and crazy personalities knowing a dog’s life was on the line. They would adopt out healthy dogs that well well cared for but had so many that just got placed in hoarder situations or questionable foster homes, I could not continue working with them.

Ruff Rescue is Amazing! The owner Mrs. Donna is dedicated to her animals and just the sweetest! Mrs. June who completed my video home visit was really nice, also. And our new pup Bear’s foster family was great! They answered all my questions and assured me, if I had any questions in the future that they were there to help. This is a great place and I strongly recommend people adopt their furry new friend from Ruff Rescue…there’s soo many innocent sweet animals looking to be part of a loving new forever family home!

Donna was fantastic with the entire process. You can clearly tell how much she cares for these dogs. She is very knowledgeable about each individual dog and what their needs are. I noticed many 1star reviews and for those saying they were denied she probably knows it wasn’t the best fit. I highly recommend Donna and will be returning to Ruff Rescue.

The person that wrote about Donna on these reviews, is right on. I was to adopt a beautiful baby girl. She falsely put in that she was spayed. Will not protect her from fleas and ticks, she think this damages the dogs and won't use them, really? Donna came out of nowhere and attacked me verbally. She uses her adoptees as weapons. She wants to be coddled! Shame on Donna but June by the way is wonderful and Donna needs to retire. She is unprofessional and crass . She leads you on and broke my heart for that sweet baby that needs to get away from her stress and go to a loving home like mine. 💔

We met with Donna to meet a dog that we were thinking about. We have a Chiweenie, and wanted to get a playmate for her. She had us bring our dog so they could meet, and all went well. Donna was knowledgeable, answered all of our questions, and let us spend as much time as we needed to, to be sure of our choice. I highly recommend Ruff Rescue.

Stated honestly and simply, Donna does the work of angels. Her first and only concern is to absolutely assure that these rescue pups are placed in safe, secure and loving environments and she is tireless in that pursuit. I have the utmost respect for her commitment to that mission.
