We have been taking my dog to Pacific Animal Hospital since we brought her home as a puppy. I wouldn’t trust her care with any other primary vet. We moved a year and a half ago further away, but we continue to make the drive to Oceanside to PAH. They have always put her needs first but have always considered our financial situation with providing multiple options of care to allow us to decide how to proceed. We love going to PAH because they are always so friendly, and our dog cannot contain her excitement to be at the vet when we are there. The facility is clean and the rooms are always nice without any remnants or odors of the pet before. Most of the time, our dog would prefer not to leave as they give her extra treats in the back when they have to give her vaccinations, x-rays, nail trim, etc. There have been some changes in staff over the course of our dog’s life, but we have always had the best experience no matter who she sees. Dr. Lisek goes above and beyond by sending monthly emails checking in on our dog as she has been getting treatment for mast cell tumors for the last year since her diagnosis, among other concerns we have along the way. I couldn’t recommend Pacific Animal Hospital more to find care for your pet.
I switched vets when Dr Pearson closed in San Marcos. My neighbor recommended Pacific Animal Hospital in Oceanside. Even though there are lots of vets closer to us, he spoke so highly of them that I decided to give them a try. And they are absolutely amazing. They take all the time needed to check your pet, explain to me in great detail what is going on, my options and all potential side effects. They are very thorough and detailed, which I appreciate so much. I am grateful for the entire staff at Pacific Animal Hospital. Couldn’t recommend them enough!
What a fantastic experience for me and my pooch! Everyone was super friendly, I didn't feel pressured/no up-selling. I could tell Dr Jarrah really loves what she is doing and she offered me several options to help my dog, who got a foxtail embedded in his paw. Left with antibiotics to try first, glad it wasn't surgery as the only option. I am very impressed and will return!
Dr. Rice is an amazing vet! I’ve taken my little kitty Duchess to her since she was a kitten and I have always gotten stellar care from her. Duchess is a temperamental cat and can be reactive but Dr. Rice works so well with her that she never has any problems getting treated. I can’t recommend her enough for any cat parents out there!
Every appointment and interaction at Pacific Animal Hospital has been excellent. The staff and doctors are always friendly and professional. My dog gets excited when he knows he’s coming to see his buddies at PAH….that says it all!
We have gone here in the past for care for my cat and had no issues however the last time we went we had a really bad experience. My cat who has always been a good patient needed X-rays. They told me it would be 30 minutes. I waited in the room for over an hour and a half when the technician walks in without my cat to tell me the vet will be in with a diagnoses soon. It was another 20 minutes and I still hadn’t seen my cat. The vet comes in still without my cat to tell my he hissed at them and they had trouble getting the X-rays. They somehow ended up getting X-rays after apparently struggling. My cat has never hissed at anyone. I understand maybe he was stressed but he hasn’t acted completely okay since. When they finally brought him back into the room with me he was covered in alcohol all over his fur. Top and bottom of him, drenched… I don’t know what happened while he was gone but he seems to be super afraid of going anywhere now in his carrier which wasn’t the case before. If a cat is causing you trouble please don’t force it or do whatever you did to mine. Stop providing service and bring it back. I hope no one else has this experience.
