These ladies were amazing and very helpful in making us feel at ease when we had to have our very sick 9 year old family member Rottweiler Hercules put to sleep. It was so heartbreaking for us but new it would stop his suffering pain. Thank you, ladies, for giving us the time to say our goodbyes.

Came here after the adoption line at the Nebraska Humane Society had closed due to the amount of people waiting. Then we found Midlands Humane Society, we arrived and didn't have to wait at all. The staff here was so very nice and knew everything about each one of their dogs. We fell in love with a dog and brought her home. We will be recommending Midlands to anyone looking to adopt a dog or cat. Thank you Midlands Human Society for giving us the newest edition to our family!

I adopted "Tink" one of Ladybugs puppies a couple weeks ago and she's so smart and I'm so happy she walked up to us it was like she picked us because we didn't even know they had puppies out that day! She's the best addition to our family that we could have asked for. Everything was so easy with the adoption process. Thank you to all the ladies that helped us!

Lots of lovely dogs and cats here, just waiting for their forever homes! The staff is very kind and knowledgeable about their animals. They have an Amazon wishlist for people looking to donate, VERY SMART! They keep a flip book of their current animals, as well as detailed lists online, of their current pets that are available for adoption.

I adopted my kitty from this humane society when I was 12. I've had her for almost 10 years now! The people were very nice back then and still are. 😊 I do recommend adopting from here.

Great place that gave me my Odie, who is the best thing that ever happened to me. Only thing is, to anyone reading this, watch out for when they post their “50 dollar adoption fee” deals on social media. These are very misleading and you may end up paying more than you thought you would. My dog was listed on Facebook by them stating that he had a $50 adoption fee only to be halfway through the adoption papers and have them tell me “oh no, he’s not $50, that deal only applies to dogs that weigh over 50 Ibs.” I ended up paying over 200 bucks. They also initially tried to claim he wasn’t there and was actually in a foster home somewhere, but when I went to go look around at the dogs, there he was! Very odd experience. He also had a lot of anxiety and behavioral issues beyond just the typical “crate anxiety” that they downplayed during the adoption process and hid by loading him up on sedatives and anxiety medication, which I’m now paying out the butt for dealing with the consequences of him being reliant on Trazodone as opposed to actual behavior management. Not saying I don’t respect this place and the things they do for animals, but adopters beware: they’re a little sketch sometimes and a lot of their motivation is just pushing their animals out the door to get them adopted so they can clear the kennels. Which I can understand, but I can only imagine how many animals are returned to the shelter because of owners not being prepared.
