What an amazing place this is. It run it by people who have a true passion, dedication and understanding of what Running a rescue really means. I had decided to take a bearded dragon out of a very bad situation. I know nothing about reptiles and knew I was not equipped to rehabilitate him. I came across medusa’s misfit rescue. They were amazing. I had to wait two weeks for them to have an opening. Along the way I got some helpful advice on caretaking for him (which I found out today is actually a her!) I feel very grateful to have found this rescue for Rocco. I know she will get what she needs, will be well cared for and have an amazing second chance on life that she truly deserves! Thank you so much for doing what you do!

This shelter is absolutely amazing. I had to relinquish a beloved snake, and Christine was so kind and understanding about it. The shelter itself is clean and visibly well taken care of. The animals are in fantastic health as well, with each getting vet checkups and a quarantine period when first taken in. Even reptiles with chronic, expensive, and time consuming conditions are kept and loved. Christine and her husband are absolute angels. It's rapidly apparent once you meet them that they are truly kind and lovey people, the kind of people who treat animals with respect and love. I can't say enough good things about them. They're fantastic people and the shelter is wonderful, so I highly encourage supporting them.

These are truly the most genuine and caring people you could ever meet. This is a true rescue, with animals coming from all types of situations, and Brick and Chrissy take it all in stride as they work endlessly to meet the animals needs. They work all hours of the day. They do everything they can for the animals, and for people as well. They do as much as they possibly can to educate the public and share their knowledge so that future animals are better cared for. They also help make surrenders as painless as possible, as well as make sure new owners are fully equipped with the knowledge and gear they need to provide a proper home for an animal. They are really a wonderful group of people who go above and beyond in order to make sure these animals have the best lives possible.

The team at Medusa's Misfit Rescue are unbelievably knowledgeable, caring, and helpful. Each rescue gets top notch care whilst in their home, starting with a full check over from an exotics vet. The adoption process was smooth, and they helped me find the right scaley friend for me. When it was time to take my new pet home I had brought my 3 year old with me. He was amazed at all of the different creatures to see, and the whole crew showed him all the rescues and let him pet a few.An experience I am sure will stick with him for life. Medusa's Misfit Rescue love each recuse as their own, and go above and beyond to educate everyone they come in contact with.

Excellent care given to animals in need! Every animal gets an intake vet visit and many require continued checkups - these guys do not slack off on care when it gets expensive! Habitats are always well kept and sized appropriately with the right amount of light/heat/humidity provided for each individual animal. If they don't have a enclosure big enough, they build a new one! They even give supervised outdoor time on sunny days to animals that are able and maintain their own bug farm to ensure their rescues only eat the best! 5 stars for sure - Maryland has been needing this!

Probably one of the most knowledgeable rescues in the US. I believe they are the only 501c3 reptile rescue as well. Phenomenal crew. Both Chrissy and Bricklin put their entire heart into giving these animals a second chance at life. They have been amazing with education as well. I’ve had some snake and chameleon questions, even though I didn’t adopt from their rescue, and they were helpful and patient as things got sorted out. If you’re in the market for a reptile, and are in the area, or would like to have them come to you for an educational event, please reach out.
