I brought my dog in for his annual check-up today, and I must say, I loved the exceptional service provided by Dr. Savage, her assistant, and the receptionist. Having had less-than-ideal experiences with previous vets, I approached this visit with a degree of caution. However, Dr. Savage immediately put me at ease. She started the visit by taking a moment to introduce herself—a small and basic gesture that the previous vets would forget to do. When my dog attempted to sneak out of the room as Dr. Savage was entering, she politely asked for permission to move him, ensuring his comfort and safety were prioritized. She then thoughtfully offered my dog a cookie, respecting my wishes when I declined. This may seem like a minor detail to some, but it meant a lot to me considering my past experiences where my requests to not give treats/food were always dismissed, leading to my dog coming back home and throwing up all the treats he got in his previous vet's office. Dr. Savage's attentiveness continued throughout the appointment. Despite its brevity, she consistently checked in with me, ensuring I had no concerns and reassuring me that I could reach out to her with any questions or issues. Her proactive approach to involving me in my dog's care felt refreshing. This level of consideration and communication is what I believe every veterinarian should strive for. Overall, I'm grateful for this experience and thankful I finally found a good vet I can trust.

No one would help us, or wanted $500 to put my very sick cat down. Made sure my baby didn’t have to suffer. Everyone from the receptionist, to the doctor, and assistant were so kind walked us through every step and treated my 18 year old lady with love and kindness into her journey into the next life. I’m so grateful for everyone who helped us today.

Wonderful staff, clean office. I just wishing there was a bigger parking lot. 3 spaces for the office forces you to find side street parking somewhere near by. Not horrible, but not awesome either. Can't say enough about the staff though- very kind and caring, and very helpful!

I have been taking my cat to Dr. Savage at Metro Pet Vet - Downtown for almost 1 year now and I couldn't be happier with the services provided for my boy. When my cat had an issue with his paw that was being treated, Dr. Savage called to follow up with us after appointments to see how the treatments were working for him. You can tell how much she cares about her patients!! All employees at the Downtown location are friendly, treat pets & people with respect and are professional. Best veterinarian I have ever taken my cat to! ♥️

Very nice and professional staff. They’re always so kind and gentle with my cat! They use calming sprays on blankets and place them atop of the carrier to help ease any vet anxiety they have. This is just one example of how they go above and beyond to make the experience smooth and comfortable. Ever since they put him on immune supplements and probiotics, my cat has seemed overall so much healthier, happier, and his coat is so shiny! Grateful to have such a great experience here.

I am so happy to have landed here, circumstances with my old vet led me on a journey to find a new vet. Metro Pet has been fantastic, reasonably price, nearby, but by far the most important great techs, a fantastic vet and wonderful supporting staff. My dogs are in great hands and this is honestly the first time I have felt so comfortable and confident with how my dogs are being handled!
