Queen City Pitties is a great nonprofit/volunteer run organization. I myself have fostered and helped with others foster dogs within QCP. They have the best intentions for the animals they are able to intake. Each new volunteer that helps in the organization gives them the ability to take on more dogs in need. This organization tries to do anything they can in order to ensure the dogs put into foster care are given the best of the best to grow and get ready for their new furever home. I highly recommend this organization not only to find a new furbaby, but to help as a volunteer. It really is rewarding.

Reached out to get help with a dog someone abandoned at my mom's house and we were greeted wit the most unfriendly, rude, unsympathetic response. You'd think anyone who specializes with pitbulls would know that they're too goofy to know their own strength. Instead she called him a danger to society and insinuated awful things. Find someone else. This place is not helpful.

This rescue has some of the most respectful owners and their process is to ensure that the dogs they put up for adoption are given to a good and loving home that may work on any pre existing issues so they can be given the best life possible. Don’t come on here and give them bad reviews because your “friends dog” was taken back due to them not following specific rules left with them. I recommend this rescue to people because they care that much that if an incident occurs, they want to reevaluate the home they were placed to so that these dogs are truly getting the best life.

I Adopted Violet on 01/18/24 and she is the sweetest girl! I plan on giving her lots and lots of love and wanted to say thank you to the owner for everything you do!!!

Extremely unresponsive. We had an impeccable application and after reaching out when I got no response from the application, I got no response to my email either. Just very poor client interaction. Go to the SPCA. Super Friendly. Very helpful and plenty of “pittie mixes” if that’s what you’re looking for.

Queen City Pitties is a reputable animal rescue nonprofit organization. If you’ve ever volunteered or worked in rescue, you likely understand the emotional whiplash. QCP (and many others) is volunteer-run. By no means is QCP perfect, however, they have only the best of intentions. They work hard to take in dogs no one else wants, provide them with the appropriate medical and behavioral care, and ensure they are placed in a home that best suits that dog’s needs. It is a small organization. Resources, including funding, is limited. Before you bash a rescue or shelter, sign up to volunteer. Until then, you truly have no idea what it’s like to save a life or work behind the scenes with all that is involved. I put my money where my mouth is, and I wish others did the same. Like I said, I promise none are perfect but as a dedicated rescue volunteer, I also promise you that QCP does the right things for the right reasons.
