Dr. Benson always gives my 18-year old, grumpy kitty such love. She is smart, compassionate, and an expert in what she does. She's been treating my Bogey for many years now. I am grateful for having her as his doc.

We have been using Greater Annapolis for almost 30 years. The care they take With each of our pets is outstanding. I cannot imagine taking our puppies anywhere else.

Since my first visit to GAVH, when I acquired a puppy five years ago, I’ve been very pleased with the attentiveness they give to their patients (the pets) and their humans. Bella is always excited to board and never displays signs of anxiety or stress. Fortunately we’ve only experienced some minor medical issues and the staff provided the care needed to abate the problem without overly addressing the issue.

I am so thankful our vet has boarding. The boys love to go there and enjoy their multiple daily walks!! Plus it’s a peace of mind to know if one would get sick, I know they will have excellent care!

I am the delegating nurse at Sunrise Senior Living of Annapolis for over 12years. As part of our mission for caring for the elderly has included love, friendship, and a passion for service. We believe in giving a life and home to those unable to live their live, in their home, as we all expect to be able to do. We try to offer a home with friends, catering and yes sometimes medical. In trying to make a home all Sunrise's have a dog and a cat. In those 12 years Greater Annapolis has cared for all of our extended family. 6 dogs and 3 cats (3 and 2 of them during my tenure) Greater Annapolis has cared for our furry family with respect and caring, including our last visit for dental and a bit of cosmetic care. All of our pets are rescues and often need love, medical care & also to say goodbye. (imagine the inconvenience of a rotation of staff and then having over 12 people in an exam room gathered on the floor all holding a paw. They have never been too busy to fit us in for an appointment and as a healthcare provider we have never called in to question a diagnosis, treatment or plan of care. (as a nurse I question doctors ALL the time). Thank You Greater Annapolis from Sunrise Annapolis

What to say... They came highly recommended by a neighbor when we moved to Annapolis. They are expensive! I don't think I have ever left for under $300. If your dog is not feeling well, they tack on an extra $60 for an emergency vet fee (If it is a true emergency they will take that fee and then send you to the emergency animal hospital). The people who schedule are only able to accommodate you in the near future, if you don't work. Appointment times offered are usually between 9:30am and 3pm. They have a dedicated staff member to call if you are 15 minutes late to add a missed appointment fee even if you are pulling in the parking lot. Wait times are normal. I usually wait in a room for 20 minutes before the vet comes in. I have never seen the same vet more than twice. They have all been nice, but it is hard to build a relationship with a dog that way. I must also say I always feel like they are trying to upsell products and services. Today was the last straw. Last week I asked for a follow up appointment for 3:30 because that is the earliest I can get there. I was given the appointment and called at 3:16 as I was pulling into the empty lot. I was told that I had missed my appointment, I would be charged a fee and would I like to make a new one. My dog and I sat in the lot and walked the yard for 40 min. We saw one animal enter and one animal leave in that time. There may be something wrong with the business model. They are not under staffed there 12 cars in the staff lot to the 2 in the visitor area. That may explain the expense. All I know is that my old dog and I are on the lookout for a new vet.
