I love Paws at the Mall, the place where you can meet the SPCA of Anne Arundel County’s small animals. You will find adoptable cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, mice, hamsters, and occasionally birds or chinchillas. There is also a retail section where you will find some pet supplies and clothing for pet lovers! The SPCA staff at Paws are friendly, knowledgable , compassionate, hardworking advocates for the animals in their care. You may see volunteers when you visit as well. I volunteer at Paws weekly and have also adopted Guinea pigs from Paws. Please know that they ask you to refrain from touching the animals for the animals’ safety and yours as well. If you touch a few cats, you may spread a virus from one cat to another. If you put your finger in a rat cage, they will think you are giving them a treat and bite your finger. The signs are all over the store for a reason.

I would give zero stars if I could. The woman that just sits at the computer all day just yells at people, like full on screams, not to touch the animals. It’s absolutely appalling and uncalled for. Also, I applied to give one of the cats a beautiful home and new owner, I love cats so much, and they denied my application. I have been devastated because I kept going to visit the cat in a little cage for weeks. They would rather keep a cat in a little cage forever than allow it to go to a beautiful home.

You like animals, I like animals, they have animals. Great place to meet a new friend. Although they say, if you want a friend, get a dog, this location only has cats and smaller animals. Friendly people.

Paws at the Mall is a storefront location in Westfield Annapolis Mall for the Anne Arundel County SPCA . Paws has cats, rabbits, fancy rats, parakeets, mice, guinea pigs and other small animals that are all available for adoption. In addition, Paws sells a large variety of pet supplies, treats and toys along with pet related home decor, t-shirts and other merchandise. Proceeds from sales at Paws go directly to support the AACSPCA, a non-profit, no kill animal shelter located on Bay Ridge Ave. in Annapolis MD. Paws is staffed by a wonderful group of dedicated employees and volunteers whose goal is to care for, socialize and find good homes for each animal in their care. It's a great place to visit, purchase pet supplies at very reasonable prices and to find a furry companion to become part of your family.

Adopt while you shop. Stop in this great spot at the Annapolis Mall to meet some furry friends available for adoption from the SPCA of Anne Arundle County. Plenty of cats, dogs, birds, hamsters to see. Even if you aren’t adopting - stop in to show some love or purchase some clothing or supplies to help the SPCA

Adopted my rescue mouse Yuki (originally Munchie) from here to be a companion for my girl Juniper (black mouse). The staff seem to care about the animals here. Thank you for making time for me when i drove all the way from DC. I would note I can tell the store needs help organizationally as the set up is not optimal for the small animals. Would suggest getting ALL small animals into bin cages or tanks and out of critter trail cages ASAP.
