I took my cat trash (yes her name is trash) to get spayed yesterday morning. The staff was amazing and the front desk was so helpful with all of my questions and extremely organized despite being short staffed. They were very informative about all the procedures/ shots that needed to be done and why. I highly recommend bringing all your animals here if you want the best service in the Hampton roads.
Took my dog the beginning of the month for a neuter. He was deemed too aggressive for growling and lunging. Sent home with sedative medication to try again at the end of the month. Was told to put a muzzle on for safety precaution so did that. The vet walked in, RUDE AS CAN BE. Didn’t introduce herself. Told us nothing about what to expect for the procedure. She looked at him, held his leash for two seconds, saw the muzzle and said “nope we are short staffed. Go to the register for your refund.” ANYONE that knows, animals are all different. She could have easily spent 5 minutes with my dog to realize he wasn’t a threat. Also, the vet tech the first time we brought him said we could go back with our dog until he was sedated and asleep. But that was not the case. He has separation anxiety. Guess that’s what you get for a cheap walk in clinic. Other than the surgeon, the staff is phenomenal and willing to work with you any way they can!
Had my third pet spayed/neutered yesterday, and it was a great experience. I emailed them for an appointment and received a phone call the very same day. The appointment was made for 2 days away. The check in process is fast and the front desk staff is very helpful if you have questions. My baby was a bit groggy at pick up, but of course that is to be expected. Her incision is so small and well done that I can barely see it. I don't know why anyone would pay 6 or 7 times as much to a veterenarian office to do the same surgery when SPCA takes such great care of our babies.
I was there for the first time on 4/26/2023. The staff was great, the facility was nice. They could really use a larger lobby.Took my little puppy there to get spayed. Everything went Great We were worried because she is Little about 7 pounds. The first evening home we wanted to cry to see her in pain like that. Praise God it all past and she is doing great. And back to being a little diva. I was amazed at the price. We had done some checking around. The lowest price was $535.00 which we were going for until we found out our insurance doesn't do reimbursement for spaying. I would highly recommend this place.
We adopted a Collie/Hound mix named Isabella and she is the sweetest girl ever. Thank you Alley, for helping our family throughout the whole adoption process. All of the staff are very kind and helpful. Thank you to the volunteers also. This facility is well kept and very clean. They do a great job ensuring that adoptees are compatible with their new family.
They did a great job, but they have definitely gone downhill since I went in early 2022. I had to email them medical records twice. The first time he refused to save them to the file, the second time she said she'd save them and didn't. I was also hung up on when I said I had to go. The vet and techs in the back are wonderful. Front desk staff us awful.
