We adopted a young feline recently. She needed spaying. They provide low cost spay and neuter. Great service. Kudos to all who helped our new member of the family! Thank you. They also provide other services for animals.

Peta helped my Mom humanly put down her 13 year old rescue dog. They was so compassionate during this. We were sad, stressed out and he was so weak .Blue pearl is closed Monday and her regular vet was overwhelmed. They really helped her.❤️❤️❤️ RIP Hunter 🙏

No matter what, PETA is a good and helpful organization, so turn to them if you need help. They have helped me twice…recently found a very injured rat outside, it looked like it had caught it’s neck in a snap trap and was bleeding. I called animal control, they didn’t care, made me feel like an idiot for feeling sorry for an injured animal, because it was a rat I guess. But it was suffering, i can’t stand seeing any any animal suffer… i didn’t know what to do, should I call a vet and have it euthanized? But I felt weird doing that and it’s expensive, and would they even do that service for a wild rat? So, i tried to put the thought out of my mind, sadly I hoped it would just die, but by the morning it didn’t. So then i tried to help it ( I know…Yuk, but i felt so sorry for it with a big gash on its neck.) I googled how to kill a rat… someone wrote, shoot it! Lol. So i realized I can’t kill an animal like that…Then I thought of PETA…and while I haven’t in the past always agreed with everything global PETA has put their energy into sometimes, sometimes alienating the public’s perception of them, absolutely no one can say they don’t care …even for a lowly injured rat!! I called them and they didn’t make me feel like an idiot for caring for this suffering creature. They were kind and generous and told me to bring it in and they would have it checked out and it if it was badly injured they would euthanize it, and if not, they would release it somewhere ( I wasn’t sure how they would do that … but not near me I hoped lol) It was badly injured, and it did get euthanized. I was ultimately happy it was treated humanely and was no longer was suffering. PETA also helped me in 2014 when my beautiful Samoyed was at the end stage of his life … I personally had been seriously injured and at that time i could not afford to euthanize him. When my baby took a turn for the worse, I called PETA and they came to my house in the middle of the night, and picked him up, and we went with them to their headquarters to stop his suffering. I was traumatized but they were so kind and caring and helped me when absolutely no one else would. I have never forgotten that. When I left after my rat escapade, i saw outside they had free bales of straw for bedding wrapped in plastic and neatly stacked outside for absolutely anyone who needs it for their animals in the cold to take. I thought that was great! And they had some surprising literature… that they actually do support kill shelters? Never would have guessed that one. But they basically explained that there are sadly so many homeless animals that the system can’t keep up and makes the shelters unable to take in healthy adoptable animals and so turn many animals away, leaving people who must surrender their animals unable to. It’s certainly a disturbing dilemma. Help by spaying and neutering your pets.

PETA accepts animals that other shelters won’t. These animals would be turned away by selective admission shelters. PETA rehabilitates these animals that would otherwise be left to suffer. Thank you, PETA!

They seem to be doing the correct thing, but in a very bad way. I used to donate $25 to them and since then they 1) shared my contact information with other organizations, and 2) these organizations kept sending me mails asking for more donation. I contacted PETA to stop doing so, because my donation was spent on envelopes, papers, printers, stamps, instead of on animals. They did nothing but kept sending me mails, meanwhile they were not even shamed of sharing my information without my consent. Eventually, I stop donating to them. There are many ways one can help animals, but through PETA seems to be a bad way.

Over the past year and a half we have taken 7 ferals, 4 adults and 3 kittens, to the PETA Mobile to be spayed and neutered. Everyone has been so helpful from scheduling through to the surgery date. They reiterate the importance of after care and show a genuine concern for all the animals. Without the PETA mobile I doubt we could afford to TNR any of the cats. We are so thankful that they offer a low cost service to all cats and dogs and provide the same service for the feral cats too. Thank you to all the staff and the veterinarians for all they do for the animals!!
