I have been here twice now and both experiences have been amazing, the front desk staff is so nice and kind over the phone as well as in person, and worked both times to fit us in for a next day or two days out after others happened to have a cancellation-I’m sure we got lucky but I appreciate that they called us to follow up! The veterinarians are great too-we worked with Andrew and he was very transparent with costs and helping us to figure out the best options for our kitty while also being mindful of potentially unnecessary testing. We opted for testing that we could then use to assess our kitty’s health and come back for more if needed. Don’t hesitate to come here-office is inviting and with partitioned waiting areas in case your animal is scared of others, and staff is so wonderful.
I have been bringing my dog Leo to VCA since he was a puppy and I can't be more grateful for the staff. Liza and Melissa have always taken care of me and given me the best advice as to how to schedule appointments for my pet as well as reminders for when check ups and vaccines are due. Super grateful to have them in the neighborhood!
We sadly had to use the euthanasia service twice in 5 weeks for our 20 year old and 15 year old cats. We were treated with kindness and compassion and our experience was as good as it could be under the circumstances. As an added touch we received a card of condolences signed with messages, not just names, by the staff. I appreciate how we were treated during a very difficult time for us.
Very predatory practice. They scare you into spending WAY MORE than what's needed when you are most vulnerable and worried about your loved one. Took two of our dogs in and they scared us to pay $2k each for a bunch of check ups and multiple drugs and specialty food. When we asked what's needed / not needed they said everything is needed "just in case". Our regular vet (which we couldn't book with at first) prescribed stomach ache medicine instead and offered a progressive plan to rule out issues and not like these guys that tries to charge you the max upfront. What a scam!
I've taken my dog here several times and this was the place I called if I had a health issue with my dog. They've always been okay with regard to care, and prices. That said, I have not been to them for three years, and have heard their prices are higher now. Anyway, I was satisfied with them until I realized that they were sharing my personal info about my dog with outside agencies. I do not appreciate that and have changed my review from 4 stars to 1. The people there never told me my info was going to be shared with anyone. Trust is everything in establishing a relationship with a Vet. They lost mine. EDIT 4-24-16 I've just responded by email to the SM Animal Hospital's response (below). I am happy to give them a chance to explain how my dog's (and my) personal information came into the hands of an outside party right after coming there. It happened twice.
Received EXCELLENT customer service and dedicated care for my cat. The front desk administrator was very nice, professional and efficient even though it was very busy! Dr. Tiffany Stillian was excellent! She was very thorough, and took the time to explain everything. I felt like she had my cats best interest at heart. This is my new Vet for sure!
