Took our fur baby to the Ballston Animal Hospital for a small bump on his shoulder. Was able to get an appointment ASAP, and the magic started. The veterinarian was amazing as well the support staff. Dr. Gallitz is the best! She's been seeing my dog for the past 8 years, and I have recommended her to numerous friends. The entire staff is wonderful, but Dr. Gallitz has taken the time to get to know me, my pup, and her issues, and I really appreciate that. She always walks me through numerous options for any ailments or questions I have. In particular, I'm always blown away by her comprehensive and thoughtful email responses. Especially since people doctors don't take time to respond other than one word answers, it is beyond refreshing and makes me feel that we're in the best hands and receiving comprehensive care. She has gone above and beyond for us multiple times when my dog has been sick- moving her day around to treat my dog and give an impromptu surgery. I hope she knows how much it is appreciated!! Ballston Animal hospital is a great vet, everyone who works there is kind and welcoming. The vet tech treated my nervous cat so nicely and did her best to make him feel comfortable. Would recommend for any cat parents!

The name says "hospital" but good luck with urgent or after hours care. They have premium prices and many think it's good quality of care. It feels like they upsell everything, catering to those who think of pets as family members. Example can be teeth cleaning: I can literally pull food out of my dog's mouth (yeah, most doggies aren't like that) yet they insist on the dog getting full anesthesia, requiring cardiac evaluations before putting them under; for a dental cleaning. It may feel like a bit much for a dog.
