While experienced in locating lost pets post disaster, Friends United in Rescue, Inc is a broad spectrum rescue organization. From feral colony maintenance to rescuing some of the most vulnerable felines in Northern California, Friends United in Rescue, Inc does it all. Friends United in Rescue, Inc is a 501(c)3 non-profit, all volunteer organization. Friends United in Rescue, Inc is a foster based rescue with limited intake that operates an adoption facility in Chico, Ca.

Sunel and the rest of the ladies working here are all around amazing. I honestly wish there were more places like this out there and around our area. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve reached out and the services they’ve all done to help me out with kittens, adoption and getting my kitties fixed. They work so hard and have some of the biggest hearts I’ve ever came across. 1000% recommended!!!

I adopted 2 kittens in November they've had issues with diarrhea off and on since then. One of them now has FIP. That means every adopter since then may have a kitten that carries FCoV. It spreads thru feces. Any cat you already had could have been exposed. The testing and treatment is $2000+. Without treatment my cat will die. I'm lucky, I can afford the medication. Do not adopt from this shelter till they empty it of all cats. Every cat needs to be adopted and shelter emptied before any new cats are brought in. I am just hoping my cat survives long enough for the GS-44 medicine to start working.

F.U.R. gave us our beloved Pirate, a playful, fearless, loving, and wonderful addition to our family. They love the cats they rescue, and were enormously helpful and generous during the whole adoption process. They fight the good fight.

Suki was rescued by FUR at 4 weeks and we adopted her at 14 weeks. It is obvious they took great care of her because she is fearless and so sweet. She fits in puurfectly with our family.
