If I could do a minus I would. My dog was attacked by a pack of 5 dogs owned by some homeless junkies. I called the police and they sent animal control. The female officer did absolutely nothing but accuse me of being equally responsible because I was there. She seemed completely unaware that dogs off leash are required to be under voice control (their dogs were not). When I brought this up she said, 'well how can I tell who's dog is under voice control'? I could have easily proven to her by letting my dogs off leash and recalling them and telling the homeless to do the same. But no, the officer preferred to continue to accuse me of being the problem. My dogs are licensed and have proof of vaccination. The homeless people did not. But that made no difference to the officer. So now we know the truth. The homeless really do run Chico. Even the police or animal control won't touch them. Why do my taxes pay their salaries?

These people are terrible! We had an Injured deer in our yard that we called in about SEVERAL times and got referred to a million different people. We found the deer dead in our bushes today, I called in to see if they could come and remove it and got their voice-mail. I would not recommend.

Called them up because of a distressed animal that was nearby, no answer. The voicemail said to call the non-emergency police line so I did. I let them know everything that was going on and about 15 minutes later I get a call from Animal Control, then basically informing me that they weren't going to check up on it... this isn't the first time something like this has happened. Fortunately after having initially tried to resolve it myself, which led up to the phone calls, the owners who were skulking in their house and not responding to Knocking at their door, fixed the situation. At least the animal is okay, not that Chico Animal control cares

These people are terrible, they can’t ever answer their phone!! They honestly should just shut down!! They don’t do ANYTHING to help anyone!!

The female officer is rude. Plain and simple, I brought my kids there to see if we had any dogs in mind to rescue for our new home. The office people were bluntly rude also, I will never come back to this place again. I do not recommend this place at all!
