Description Located on 3 beautiful acres of Brushy Creek frontage, under the cool shade of 100 year old oak trees… this is a boarding facility unlike anything you’ve seen before. We board a very limited amount of dogs. This means that all of our four legged friends get the personal love and attention you would want them to have. Things operate at a more relaxed pace here. Our guests spend the day running with friends on our securely fenced 3 acres, taking a dip in our doggy pool, or stretched out in a shady meadow for an afternoon nap. Life is good! Our dogs are always eager to get into the play yards when we drop them off. No doodle long stares or anxiety, just pulling toward the door to go find friends. They come home with a bath and sleep the first 2 days-a sure sign that they were well played out!

Came here to tour facility before making a decision on where to board my dog for a two week trip. I could not get out of there fast enough. I was given a short tour- by a young female staff member who was pleasant- the facility is very small so luckily for me my time was short. I soppose size doesn’t matter but the intensity of the overly aggressive rap music playing throughout the facility was numbing, especially within the closed garage like area where all the dogs were kept kenneled. The dogs were trembling from the volume and even my human ears thought it was entirely too loud. I would consider this torture. Common sense wouldn’t allow it. I wish I had said something at that time but I didn’t.. I was just done.. do day parents not know this is happening? Do they turn music down for morning drops and afternoon pickup? If dog owners knew this was happening I doubt you would have customers.

I was looking for somewhere close by for my pup to go during the day when I had meetings, so that she could interact with other dogs, and enjoy herself outside, but not have to be alone. Shady Acres fit the bill, and our experiance was great from start to finish. Getting her signed up was super easy. The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, and patient, taking the time to answer all of my questions. This made us feel welcome right away. When I called mid-day to check on my dog at the daycare center, they spent a good 20 minutes on the phone telling me all about her day and answering any remaining questions I had. Pick up time was a breeze, and our dog was SUPER excited when she came out. She was also really tired from playing all day. I could tell when we got home that she had a busy day! I'm looking forward to taking her back again to play with her new friends~ Thank you Shady Acres!!!

Elvis loves Shady Acres. The staff is great and very responsive. He boards there also and I feel comfortable knowing he’s in good hands. I also love the play yard cam so I can check in on the fun he’s having. Highly recommend!

We just had our first playtime at Shady Acres and Peanut Butter LOVED it! He was SO HAPPY when I picked him up and he was SO TIRED in the evening after a long day of playing with new pup-friends. I really liked the daily sheet that came home with him, too! We are new in town and are so happy to find a place like Shady Acres for our pup. We will definitely be regulars!
