I called this shelter a few hours ago this morning and spoke with an angel named Jessica. I was calling from North Carolina to let them know a friend of mine was staying in a tent there in St Augustine and needed help. Within an hour this shelter's Street outreach team had met my friend and he is feeling a lot of relief right now because he knows that his community supports him and that God is real. Thank you St Francis house!
Nice friendly staff that works there positive and caring as well. I'm so glad that St.Augustine has a place to help those not so fortunate. They really do care about the community well being
I would rate this place with ZERO stars if I could. I tried to go in to receive needed services and was treated absolutely horribly. It is absolutely unacceptable for an establishment like this to treat people in need in that manner. I want this to be known. It is like this everywhere in the country. I'm not an addict. I'm just a person trying to lift myself up using services that are available. I moved here to try to better myself and people who are supposed to be helping those in need are making it impossible.
I worked for them worst decision, so many red flags shady things I saw. Got falsely accused unfairly of having a “thing“ with one of the youth staying in the shelter without prove at all by the manager just by rumors that she overheard according to her. Staff are toxic as hell. Avoid this place people, avoid the headache.
Homeless shelter helping 100s of homeless get off the streets. I commend this place for their efforts and service to their community. Love Love Love ❤️
Ms.Sheryl Perkins displayed extreme rudeness and aggression towards me when I arrived 11 minutes late for check-in while I was sleeping. Her disrespectful behavior occurred in front of my child, which was completely unnecessary . It is particularly concerning that she used aggression without any valid reason. If one is employed to assist homeless individuals, I strongly believe that the staff should possess a higher level of empathy and compassion. Additionally, I also overheard Ms. Perkins suggesting to a client that they should take a bath.
